Embrace does what it says they'll do

Having had pet insurance 10 years ago, we were skeptical of jumping in again. But having 7 dogs (yes, 7) we figured why not try it - esp since our 9 yr old Bernese Mountain Dog just went through a $10k+ back surgery and we paid out of pocket for it. Had we been insured with Embrace, we would have only paid about $2k for it. Since insuring our eligible dogs, one of our guys was diagnosed with mast cell cancer and Embrace has been a godsend. Suffice it to say, we are demanding people and I own a small business so I know from customer service and delivering on what I promise - Embrace has it down and I'd recommend them to anyone.

Excellent Customer Service

Embrace realizes the importance of " taking care of the customers needs" in a very timely and responsive manner whether it be claims processing, policy questions or general info regarding your pet. I have researched and have had other pet insurance companies in the past but I can truthfully say that none of these can compare to my overall excellent experience that I have enjoyed with Embrace over the last 4 years. I would highly recommend Embrace to anyone who is looking for high quality professional and responsive care for their beloved pet !!!

Slower than expected, good communication/coverage

The response time was a little slower than we expected, but once I reached out to Embrace, the communication was quite good with quick responses to my questions. The whole process from our dog getting ill to my getting a reimbursement was about a month, which isn't a bad turnaround in my opinion. The insurance covered everything, as expected, and once the claim was submitted it was really very easy.

Rescue Owners RUN elsewhere!

My one year old dog came from rescue. I had taken him to my vet within 48 hours as required by rescue. Embrace has refused coverage for ONE YEAR on the following: anything related to vomiting, skin conditions and worms ... their reasoning - my rescue dog was treated by my vet for those ... well, he's a rescue, he was found living in a barn, standing in his own urine for almost 12 months! So yeah, I have taken this VERY personal because I have tried to do right by and for my dog ... how dare they and I will tell anyone I can to avoid embrace, especially if you've got a rescue.

Peace of Mind

I've only been with one pet insurance company, and that's Embrace. After carefully weighing the pros and cons of several pet insurance companies, I decided on Embrace because of their coverage, variety of plan options, and their customer service reviews on other sites. While I haven't submitted many claims, Embrace gives me peace of mind. The Claims Department is very responsive, curteous, friendly, and understanding. They even accepted a late claim when I discovered that a friend who took my dog to the vet while I was out of state for a family member's wedding hadn't submitted the claim because he thought the vet did that. Sometimes I wish that more items were covered in the plan I selected, but there are several options available and if I wanted to pay more monthly, more items would be covered during the visits. For me, it just isn't cost effective with the few claims I've had to make so far. I really like knowing that Embrace will be there when I really need it. Their direct deposit option for claims is fast and convenient too! Overall, I have been quite pleased since July 2010!
