VETERINARIAN: Oak Tree Animal Hospital

Peace of mind

I wasn't sure what was wrong with my dog. She went from being happy, playful and active to lying on her dog bed, whining and unable to chase a ball. My vet felt that it was an ACL injury and lumbar strain, fortunately, she did not need surgery but was started on a series of anti-inflammatory medications and supplements which were more expensive than I expected. I was impressed that ASPCA covered her treatment and processed the claim so quickly. She is doing well and I was happy that I purchased this plan which provided peace of mind that I could provide the care that she needed.

Disappointed in ASPCA

After being a loyal ASPCA customer for many years, I was disappointed to find that my premium nearly doubled this year. The last few claims I made took an unusually long time to reimburse, and I even had to open a case for one of them, which I won. When I compared ASPCA's quote with other top insurance companies, I found the same coverage for a significantly lower price. In fact, it was less than what I was paying with ASPCA. I sent in my cancellation email a few days before my renewal date, explaining my reasons, but received no response, and my policy was not canceled on the renewal date. I just rechecked my account, and it is now canceled (a week later), but I have yet to receive a response from them, and they have not initiated the reimbursement process. I understand that companies need to make money, but the fact that I found the same insurance at a substantially lower cost and, most importantly, that I received zero response from them speaks volumes.

Same as all the others don't waste your money

My 1 year old dog has some genetic joint problems and my first claim is denied as pre existing. I will be dropping this coverage it's a total waste of money that I can be putting toward the vet bills his insurance rejects. Update - thanks for your reply ASPCA... wish I'd thought of that. Oh, I did. Twice. Coverage cancelled.

My 12y/o GS/mix’s Duke savings

I have had my pet insurance for few years, and have been using it for over a year, with no issues at all I’m getting my insurance reimbursement after my claims are processed, I really appreciate the care and professional service I’m getting. People always tell me how expensive it is to be paying monthly, but I say that’s my pet savings, since our veterinary costs are up. It’s alway nice to on don’t have to come up with the total amount out if packet. Thanks for your service
