I've had ASPCA pet insurance since my dog, of 4 1/2 years old, was a puppy. Being a lab, i got the insurance because of their notoriety of eating everything. Little did i know that when he was 1 1/2 old he would develop epilepsy. he is on medication 2x a day with 2 different medications and has been doing well on those medications. it can be expensive, but this insurance covers the cost minus 20% after the deductible is made, which is huge. however, since my insurance renewed in august, i am having a problem with submitting claims. it used to be an easy process which involved taking a picture of the receipts and Rx label and submitting. Since the renewal, the claims have been rejected and i've had to resubmit multiple times until it is approved. i'm not sure why or what i need, as i keep submitting the same documents. this process needs more explanation in the response email because if i try to call i get qued into a very long phone wait. more transparency in filing claims would be helpful. if i get a resolution, i will change my rating to 5 stars

I have been highly disappointed with the lack of coverage that’s offered. For the monthly fees, you really don’t receive reimbursement for any claim. Also, before I joined there was no access to what the reimbursement amount was for the wellness shots. I finally was provided this list yesterday. Well, it fell very short from what my Vet charges. So between the deductible, only covering a set amount personally I don’t think it is worth the cost. I have always supported the ASPCA and what wonderful work they do, but their insurance coverage is not worth the money! I will be canceling my policies immediately!
