Just like every other company

ive been with apsca since 11/08 and i think the coverage is great. i mean they do have that sucky "reasonable costs" clause but from the comparisons ive been doing every company has the same thing. The thing that i like most is that you can add extra coverage called continuing care...(something i dont remember exactly what its called) but i got that for an extra like 9 bucks a month and that makes it so i dont have to worry about taht 180 days thing everyone keeps talking about. Maybe that would help some other people if they were to look in to that? Other than that i dont think its bad at all.

May as well not have insurance.

I have two Shih Tuz's and one had to have metal plates in his front legs and they claimed it was a hereditary condition age 1 1/2 and then the other one had a scratch on her eye which got infected and almost lost her eye and ASPCA called that hereditary age 1 1/2 so there was never any payments made even for the hospitalization that was required because they said it was boarding costs. I would definitely not buy this insurance and I have canceled after one year with $0 money ever reimbersed.

Only covered 50%.

My cat had a laceration that became abcessed in May. She was hot and lethargic on a Friday night so I had to seek urgent care which was 3 times the cost of my regular vet. I submited the claims and only 50% was covered because they were based on their charts which are rediculously low and/or outdated. DONT get this insurance. Policy also states it won't cover pre-existing conditions within 90 days. I brought my cat in 6 months later for a 2nd UTI and they called it pre-existing despite the "90" days in black & white. Only interested in the money not your pet. I urge you seek another company!
