My Story

When I decided to get health insurance for my 4 cats they were all healthy. No problems, we went for regular check ups and had the regular maintenance health care done, such as dental cleanings, etc. everything was fine. I decided to have health insurance for them considering they were getting up in age - if they fell or had any injury or minor illness then at least I could feel like I had extra help to pay for it. You wouldn't believe how much one little injury could cost. The health insurance has helped out tremendously. Within two years all my cats had at least one thing happen to them or some minor illness came upon them. One cat had a few problems within two years. If I didn't have the insurance the cost for 4 cats with health issues would've ran me thousands and it did! The pet health insurance covered a great portion of it and my budget for cat care did not take a large hit within those two years. It is just a comfort to know there is help. It is insane not to have health insurance for yourself it is equally insane not to have it for your animals since it can help you cover your cost. Not to mention, give you the peace of mind that you can offer the best possible care for your animal. Don't know why I didn't get it sooner. Everyone is healthy and/or recovering now, thankfully!

Kept their word!

On the recommendation of a friend I took out insurance on my two Yorkies, Daisy and Dudley. The cost was very reasonable for the two of them. Dudley started to have blood in his urine. I took him to the vet and after tests and x-rays a large stone was discovered in his bladder. Surgery was necessary. I thought this is going to be very expensive, which it was but how pleasantly surprised I was to find that my ASCPA insurance did everything the policy said and I was reimbursed for the 80 percent they promised. How wonderful! I recommend them highly!

Ten Years of Coverage

Our spunky Yorkie, Pumpkin, turns ten this month (April 30) and has been covered since she was a puppy. She's had many ailments over the years, in fact, her private "folder" in my desk is twice as thick as my beautiful Cocker Spaniel, who lived 16 years with us. Pumpkin experienced kennel cough, worms and hypothermia when we took over her care as a puppy. Our Vet is wonderful; she recovered and we had no problem with our pet insurance (Petshealth Care Plan). Recently, we discovered a small growth on her eyelid. It was the weekend, and I planned to call the Vet Monday. There was deep snow on the ground and Pumpkin loves scooting around and burying herself in the snow - however, she came up bleeding profusely. It turned out to be a small (benign) tumor. When she had her surgery, I also had her teeth cleaned. I am so thankful I had pet insurance, because it was over $1,000. My Vet broke down the costs separately for the insurance company. I received my check in weeks and was satisfied. I am also thankful that the insurance will cover Pumpkin for the rest of her life. I have recommended this company to friends and will continue to do so. Thank you for your support for the past ten years - we really appreciate it!
