Three Active Dogs Make It a Necessity

With three active dogs (Thomas. Daniel and Jenny), there alway seems to be an illness or accident (however minor) cropping up. My husband and I are very glad we have the ASPCA insurance plan and wish we had had it when one of our former dogs (Meggie) tore first one ACL, then the other. My only problem is with the terms of the policy renewal, when a condition is treated in one calendar year and becomes "pre-existing" in the next, resulting in no further coverage for that issue. I can't imagine what would happen if human coverage ended that abruptly.

My Saving Grace

One never can expect the unexpected. I have three young cockapoos, one of which suddenly became prone to ear infections and quickly required a decision on essential and expensive surgery. After much research and stress in making the decision to complete the surgery, it sure was nice to know I had ASPCA insurance. The surgery was successful and the claim payment was received within a few weeks. In a stressful situation it sure was nice to know I had one saving grace, ASPCA!

Worth the Investment

My wife and I have been going back and forth for several years on whether or not we should get Pet Insurance for our dog Jada. I didn't feel it was worth the expense vs other existing Financial Obligations. This past September I finally gave in and we decided to research getting Jada insured. After comparing companies, plans, costs, deductibles, and coverages we decided on ASPCA Pet Insurance with extended coverage. It's already proven to be a worthy investment. A short time after the policy went into affect we noticed a lump on Jada's underside. We took her to the vet and the first visit they gave her a shot and mediation to see if the lump would shrink in size. It was determined on the follow up visit that she needed to have the lump removed and biopsied to see if it was a cancerous tumor. Within a week of the follow up we found another lump along her ribcage and it was back to the vet once again. The surgery was scheduled for the Monday following Christmas and all went well. Within a week we got the results and found out that it wasn't cancerous and our little girl will be just fine. The total for all the visits, shots, medication, surgery, and biopsy exceeded $600.00 which we had to pay prior to submitting our Insurance Claim. The process for completing the Claim for and submission was painlessly easy. Everything was done online. We received email confirmation when the claim was received followed by a claim number to follow up if needed. In the end

Support for my new puppy

My husband and I had an unexpected addition to our family when we came across a 4 week old Lab mix being sold on the street by a kid who clearly had no clue how to care for young puppies. Our little Dori came home with us, but we were now faced with covering ALL her puppy vaccinations, her spay, and some allergy issues that sent us to the vet several times. The ASPCA pet insurance saved us a lot of money, and even though you have to pay up front, it really helps to get 80% of it back. Claims were processed in a timely fashion, and rates are very reasonable for the amount of coverage. I also really like knowing an organization like the ASPCA is benefiting from it as well.As someone who doesn't have a few thousand for a rainy day saved, I like knowing that if something unforeseen should happen, I won't have to choose between my finances and saving my best friend.

Pet Insurance for peace of mind

We decided to get Pet Insurance because we knew no matter what happened to our Weimaraner, Riley, we would do what ever we had to in order to save his life. Having the insurance gave us peace of mind because we would have help with the vet bills if something were to happen. Since he is older and more likely to have issues, we felt getting the insurance was the right thing to do. It was easy to purchase, the claim form is easy to fill out and we have been reimbursed with ablsolutely no problem.

Rates start at: $10 (for accident only), $16 (Complete Coverage). Rates vary based on species, age, breed, and location.
