Didn't think I would need it, great decision.

I bought this for Annie, my Shelter rescue Stafford after seeing some friends with some hefty Vet. bills. She was always very healthy with only annual visits. Six or so months after purchasing she starts collapsing for no reason which turned out to be a neck nerve issue. Two months later I find a tumor on her chest. Two surgeries later and in the second month of chemo therapy shes doing well, and I sure as heck am glad I can recoup some of the bills. Submission is easy via fax, email, mail and you can track your claims online. Payments are usually made within a few weeks of submission. Overall as pet insurance goes, this is a solid plan. Make sure you get the continuing care so you are covered from the previous year injuries.

Rip Off ASPCA

I bought the insurance and a year later my dog had to have an ACL which is common on small dogs. Since 2 years previous tot he insurance he had it on the opposite side, ASPCA concluded it was a preexisting condition. ASPCA never mentioned in their advertising or comments that such a thing could occur other than 6 months. It cost me over $2000 and when I complained, ASPCA would not even respond. ASPCA are a bunch of groups conning people who own pets with no real caring. Use another insurance company. DON'T GET RIPPED OFF.

Must Have!

My dog has had health issues since the 2nd month I had him. I got health coverage for him after his first incident and have had more medical situations with him than I can count and Pet's Health has covered them all. I recommend pet insurance to all my friends and family!!!!

Thank you ASPCA Insurance

I decided to buy pet insurance because Chaz, my Pembroke Welsh Corgi was a rescue and one year old when I adopted him. I had no way of knowing if there were health issues with him. As it happened, he contracted kennel cough almost immediately after I brought him home and after several hundred dollars in vet bills, I signed up with ASPCA Insurance. Since then he has had stomach issues and emergency room visits that were costly as well as normal care each year and I the insurance has really paid for itself. I think all pet owners should have some form of insurance for them as they are like children. They can't take care of themselves.

Best investment made as a pet owner!

I adopted two Bichon Frise pups in March 2006. While in the vet's office one day, I picked up an ASPCA brochure on pet health insurance. It sounded like a good idea, but I was skeptical that it would be worth the cost. In October 2010 the male Bichon snapped the ACL in his left hind leg and had to have immediate surgery - estimated cost $1100. I saved the itemized bills from the surgery and the follow-up care, went online and printed a claim form, and mailed the package to the insurance company. Within four weeks of mailing the package, I received a check for $654 of the approximate $1100 bill. I suddenly realized that purchasing pet health insurance was the best investment I had made since becoming a pet owner. Not only did it provide peace of mind for me, but it made it financially possible for my pet to receive the best quality of care needed as a result of the accident. I am proud to be an ASPCA customer and to recommend ASPCA Pet Health Insurance to every pet owner who values the health and well being of their pets.
