Sensitive Poodles

I have two poodles from the same litter, although they are as different as night and day. Nora has food allergies and I am constantly changing her food and at the vet for eye drops and antihistamines. Nick has very sensitive ears and has chronic yeast infections in them. So I have a medicine chest full of canine drugs. Nick also has a thyroid condition and takes a hormone supplement. Thank goodness for ASPCA pet insurance. They are prompt and fair and what's best is that I know they are there should there be major illness or accident. I am so happy with them that I convinced senior management at my employer to bring them on as an employee benefit to our employees at a 5% discount. Our employees are loving it!

A great help

My Standard Poodle, Rufus, has had a couple of unexpected medical issues, one which required emergency surgery. What a relief to know that a good portion of that bill was covered. ASPCA Pet Insurance has promptly processed my claims and sent out checks in a timely manner.

A Solid Value

I had to put my 1.5 year old tiger cat, Julio, down a year or so ago. The diagnostics alone were several thousand dollars, and there was no guarantee that whatever they found would be treatable. I had to make the call to let him go quietly by the vet's hand. I knew it was the right decision, but I wanted to make sure that my new kitten would have a little bit of a safety net. I didn't want to have to potentially make a life and death decision based on money. Recently, my new kitten got sick with a bacterial infection (Toxoplasmosis) and nearly died herself. We got her treated and paid, confident that we would at least be receiving some reimbursement. What we got back wasn't everything, but the insurance has already paid for itself twice over. I think that as long as your expectations are in the right place, you will get a good return on your investment. I would recommend getting your pet insured.

SPCA pet insurance is the best

I have come out ahead every year with my pet insurance, it was the best financial decision I ever made. The customer service is great, and they are all pet lovers and they care about my pets and how they are doing. I have never had a problem trying to get a claim paid for, they have never given me a difficult time when it is time to pay up. I highly recommend this pet insurance company to anyone who will listen it’s the smartest move I have ever made. I live on a fixed income, and I cannot afford not to have pet insurance.

Helping Taz in difficult times

My affenpinscher, Taz, is nearly 12 years old. He has had his share of physical problems. Taz has been insured with Petshealth for many years now, after switching over from another pet insurance plan (on a testimonial from an acquaintance). Over the years, Petshealth has been fair and prompt in claims processing. We haven't always needed the insurance, but are glad to have it when we need it. It helps ease the financial burden of a pet who seems to need a lot of attention. Taz contracted Lyme's disease in 2010, and because the illness crossed policy periods, my claim was denied. I wrote an appeal, and the appeals board graciously reviewed my appeal, considered my arguments, and agreed to honor the claim. I was not very happy when my claim was denied, but am satisfied that they honestly took a second look.
