ASPCA | Pet Insurance Review

My cat pepper developed crystals in his urinary tract this past April 2011, which resulted in his inablitity to use his litter box and form blood in his urine. We took him to his veternarian who diagnosed the condition and then proceeded to treat him. Right away the first set of charges we were charded was i/a/o 2,221.06, and then we had to bring him back for further tests which amounted to 1,201.50 bringing our total costs to 3,422.56. Fortunately, pepper made a full recovery from his illness and is back to all his crazy antics. I submitted my claim to ASPCA and received a check i/a/o 1,739.58 under his insurance coverage. We were so grateful to have ASPCA Pet Insurance which helped pay for most of the vet bills. There was some delay in the claim process that required me having to make several calls and resubmissions of all my documentation, however the overall experience was great. The representatives on the phone were very courteious and professional. Being the first time that I had to use my insurance coverage for pepper I would say "50% Coverage for 100% Satisfaction."

My toy poodle was attacked outside my back door by two of my neighbor's african hounds. Luckily, she was able to escape under my car to avoid fatal wounds. As it was I had to take her to the vet where she underwent an operation and was admitted to the pet hospital for a few days. Rather expensive, but ASPC paid 75% of my bill.

Our Sheppard mix had a nasty thorn in her paw. We couldn't get it out so the vet had to...sounds simple but with general anethisia the bill really ran up. Pet Insurance didn't cover the whole visit but it paid about half the bill. I was very happy with how quickly they paid the claim. I would recommend anyone with a pet get ASPCA Health Insurance!

I was with another BIG pet insurance company for years and dropped them for poor customer service. My Corgi Grace just having been diagnosed with meningitis and had huge bills. ASPCA paid them in timely fashion and paid the 80% as promised. What amazed me was they called to check on Grace? I never had that with last company! That is so rewarding! My dog has hip fracture and needs consultation and x-ray etc. ASPCA has been prompt in settling all claims.
