Pet insurence is a Must!

I am very happy with the insurence so far. I like that they contact me by e mail to let me know that the claim is bring processed. It is soooooooo important to have pet insurence. The time I didnt get pet insurence, was the time that my dog was very sick and I paid for a long term illness for 8 years. He was the 10,000 dollar dog! I am glad to cover my dog with the ASPCA plan. i know if something were to happen, I can count on them to pay her bills.

ASPCA insurance not pet friendly

I insured with ASPCA because of the name and also being member of Aspca, the insurance company is misleading by using the name Aspca, it is the most worst company to insure with, when it comes to claims,it never got resolved, I ended up paying the whole balance. Highly recommend VPI, Petplan, I wish i had read reviews before signing up with ASPCA insurance, now I am with Petplan, very good.

Good insurance to have!

We had originally decided to get some sort of pet insurance after our dog, Riley died from an intestinal blockage and his surgery to try and remidy the issue (which didnt work) cost a good amount of money. We looked around at several pet insurances and decided on ASPCA's. We now have our two dogs, a dachshund and spaniel mix insured and it gives us great peace of mind that they will be covered should anything like what happened to our previous dog, happen to them. The insurance we pay each month for both dogs is reasonable and they recieve decent coverage. My dachshund is a puppy and gets into absolutely everything! She has had several claims this year and the insurance has already paid for itself! Would recommend this pet insurance to everyone who wants to keep their furry friends covered.

Well worth the monthly premium

I have owned dogs all my life, but this is the first time I have ever purchased pet insurance. I think it is a good investment because my little Cavalier King Charles Spaniel has had his share of GI upsets and other minor health issues. The costs can mount up quickly, especially when xrays are involved, so having ASPCA insurance for him really has been worthwhile. It even covered a visit to an emergency veterinary clinic on the night before Thanksgiving when I discovered that he had an ear infection. Naturally I did not wait to find out whether this would be covered before taking him to be seen, but I was really happy to learn that it was!

Monthly Cost

Rates start at: $10 (for accident only), $16 (Complete Coverage). Rates vary based on species, age, breed, and location.

Coverage

The pay-out amount is based on the actual vet bill, at a rate pre-selected by the customer: 90%, 80% or 70%

Payout Limits

Annual limits can be set by the customer, ranging from $2,500 to $20,000, including an unlimited option. No lifetime limits.

Deductible

$100, $250 or $500 annually.

Age Limits

No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

There are no waiting periods for preventive care. Coverage begins 14 days after date listed on policy for accidents, illnesses, and knee/ligament conditions.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions, cosmetic procedures and breeding costs are not covered. ASPCA Pet Health Insurance has two Preventive Care plans that can be added to help cover a pet’s wellness care, including annual exams, vaccinations, tests, dental cleanings and flea/heartworm preventive. Preventive Care plans reimburse up to a set amount for each listed treatment. If your pet exhibited symptoms of a knee and ligament condition at any time, prior to enrollment or during a waiting period, all ligament and knee conditions will be excluded. Ligament and Knee are conditions involving a ligament, patella, meniscus or soft tissue disorder of the knee. Accident-Only coverage available.
