Good review

Our dog was being neutered and receiving his yearly shots. We submitted a claim to be reimbursed and it went through very quickly and smoothly. We were given updates throughout the process.

Insurance is a Must for an Agility Dog

Since Shane is an agility dog, I got the insurance in the event he injured himself and required surgery. I was thinking a torn ACL or a broken bone would prompt me to file a claim, but when he tore his nail and required surgery, I figured that was an accident, even if it wasn't related to agility, so I filed a claim. I filled out the form online and I was very happy to receive a check a few weeks later.

3 yr old cairn terrior/bichon

Gia has Luxating patellas and didn't want to walk much so I took her in to see the vet and get some deramaxx. She ended up having a fever at the vet they gave her and injection if penicillin and anti-inflammatory with a suspicion of Lyme. She got home and vomited non stop for 5hrs . I then had to take her to an emergent vet since mine had closed they did xrays blood work and subcu hydration ... Long story short I ended up paying around 400$ all together. ASPCA took forever to process the claim ( about a month) saying they had to wait for vet records even though I sent all the paperwork and it was my first claim ever. The only reason it got done in a month is because I called 3 times and forced them to call the vet and get the records. After all that I only got reimbursed 188.00 ..but I have the level two plan. Overall... I'm thankful to get any money back but I'm not satisfied

Prompt Claim Service

This is our third year of coverage for our 2 greyhounds, Nash & Miss Silver. We haven't made many claims, but we're glad we kept our coverage this year! Nash was staggering when he met me at the door after work about 2 months ago. He had trouble standing up and walking. We ended up taking him to an after-hours emergency clinic that night. After ruling out toxins with blood tests, Nash was diagnosed with disc disease/arthritis of the spine, and/or potential early metabolic neuropathy. In the next week, we visited our vet and 2 other veterinary specialists to confirm a diagnosis and treatment plan. Nash improved steadily on NSAID medication, and he has responded very well to chiropractic treatment. Within 3 weeks, he was his usual boisterous self. Our claims were easy to file, and service was prompt and friendly. I'm disappointed that the chiropractic treatments don't seem to be covered, but happy that the reimbursement for covered services was prompt.
