Sorely disappointed at unfair denial of claims

My Dog was seen by a very renowned Cardiologist last August of 2011 for a consultation advised by my local Veterinarian. He was at this time diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy. The bill was submitted and denied after having ASPCA Ins. almost 2 years.I went through the Appeals Procedure including a letter from his Cardiologist stating that the cardiomyopathy just diagnosed was in fact not a pre-existing condition! More time went by and I received another denial of one single dollar based on the opinion of an unnamed "ghost" Vet hired by ASPCA. There were contradictions in his report and no valid basis whatsoever for this denial. I am extremely unhappy with ASPCA. Shame on them for not employing correct ethics to a paying customer.Their goal seems to be profit above & beyond fairness & doing the right thing by the customer. A very bad experience!

Claim coverage

When my dog became both ill and injured recently, ASPCA paid her coverage two claims promptly. It didn't cover all my expenses, but certainly helped eased the financial burden, particularly with the expensive surgery that was required

Pinky

Decided to get insurance for my dog pinky since she getting up there in age. She had, had medical problems before with a torn acl and some dental problems. The cost of all the vet bills was starting to get very expensive so I decided to get her insurance. I have only had to use it once so far but most of the cost was covered and that made it completely worth it.

ASPCA health insurance saved us alot of money.

We have 2 cats , 1, 10 yrs old 1, 6 yrs old. Our 6 yr old Tuxedo , domestic short hair, had to have his teeth cleaned for tarter build up and 1 extraction . A couple weeks later he had bladder broblems,(Bladder Stones) and needed surgery. For around 1,600 dollar in charges for both procedures we had to pay about 450.00. You never know when you'll need Insurance.
