Pleased

I have used ASPCA on several occasions now but this last occasion showed me that the coverage I have for my pug, Bugsy is excellent. I never thought I would get such good results such as quick service and response. I am so glad for ASPCA and so is Bugsy.

Max, linus amd Nellie+

I decided to get pet insurance after adopting my dog Max for from mixed up mutts. I never had a dog and was always thinking about getting it for my cat but never did. Then when I adopted Nellie a 5 week old puppy. So, I did an internet search for pet insurance companies and compared plans and rates before deciding to go with ASPCA Health Insurance. Im Oct 2010 nellie ate a rock and boy did the insurance help defray some of the cost. I've already saved more than I paid in premiums for a year. So, I would say everyone should get health insurance for their dogs

Reimbursement not as advertised

My healthy dog was denied any reimbursement for her annual check up and meds (flea and tick and heart worm) prescribed by the vet. Also, her one time only emergency hospital visit bill took 2 months to be reviewed and the reimbursement was approx. 55% even though the total was less than the single visit limit. The annual premium sounds reasonable but I will not renew due to the low level of reimbursement. Was warned that this was not the best plan but it seemed simple and legit. Not saying that it is not simple or legit, just that it leaves the owner with a much larger liability than anticipated.

worst insurance ever

I have not had this insurance for the last 2 yrs...BUT i had it for more then 7 years prior to this. I paid my premiums and never had to file claims for the first few years...when i started making claims they were HORRIBLE. I am a reasonable person...i knew (which was ridiculous) that when the new policy renews yearly whatever you treated the previous year would not be covered again because it now becomes preexisting. That being said...my policy period started march 1st. On the 22nd of march that year my cat was diagnosed with stomach cancer..the Insurance company said that even though we didn't know about the cancer...it was there prior to the policy renewal of march 1st and there fore they weren't covering it.. .Technically i should have been covered for that entire year for this illness till the following policy period but they didn't want to pay anything. Needless to say i sued them. They called me the night before the court date and told me i had to prove the cancer wasn't there before march 1st...i told them as i laughed...i'm suing you...you have to prove it was and i have 2 vets that are the practice owners stating there were no clinical signs and we did not know prior to march 1st. Lets just say i won the case without a problem. NEXT..this insurance company pays "reasonable cost" they go to a town with a population of 10 and that's where they get their reasonable cost from. I would like to know where they got the prices they paid me for some of the vet bi

ASPCA Pet Insurance has been a life-saver

I have had my boy Bocce for two years. I have had other pets before, but have never had pet insurance. When I purchased the insurance, I had hoped that I would never have to use it, just a way to have peace of mind. However, Bocce has had numerous medical issues related to a defficient immune system. The latest issue is inflammatory bowel disease. Bocce is a large bullmastiff, so his medical bills tend to be higher than a small dog. Each time I file a claim, I am hesitant because I don't think it will be covered. I have never been disappointed. I am mindful of what I turn in, and much of the expense I incurr on my own. I always think "they are going to turn me away." The people at ASPCA truly care about pets! This coverage has allowed me to keep my pet, and to keep him healthy. He is my family, and here at ASPCA, he is treated that way. I don't even want to think about how I would have been able to provide my boy the care he needs without you. THANK YOU ASPCA!
