Cancelled Insurance Out of Blue Then Refused Claim

After a year on the ASPCA insurance, I received a letter out of the blue (no prior claims) saying the insurance was terminated as of a certain date (about 60 days). Thinking I'd better find out if my dog was ok, I took him in for a physical even though it had been less than 6 months after his last checkup. As it turned out, he had an impacted tooth which had to come out. While in surgery, they discovered another impacted tooth and they removed that one also. ASPCA refused to pay one cent of the bill saying it was a pre-existing condition. There was no sign the teeth were impacted as of his previous exam. All in all, a bad insurance experience. I'd look for another company.

Insurance, you pay for something you hope you need

I've only had it for 9 mos. They have paid claims in a timely manner, but at $45.00 a month, I'm not sure it wouldn't be better to just put that money aside on my own.

Very satisfied with them!

I've had insurance on my dog for over two years and have had little to no problems with any of the claims I've submitted. I would like to see any changes you make to enhance your insurance take affect immediately instead of waiting for the next policy renewal.

Very Satisfied

We initiated the insurance a the end of Man 2012. Two weeks later our dog was spayed and the insurance paid the appropriate portion without question. Less than two weeks later, our dog broke her leg requiring the specialty services of an orthopedic surgeon. The bill was surprisingly high yet ASPC paid their portion quickly and without question.Considering that they had only collected TWO months premium from us and paid out 14 times that amount without any comment, by comparison with auto insurance it was refreshing and very pleasant experience. I would recommend the Level 3 policy for new puppies without hesitation.

We put health insurance on the rest of our family why on earth would we not put it on our loved pets as well!
