Reasonable and Customary Costs Are Ridiculous

I have a slightly pricier vet than average, but have priced about half a dozen more in my area for various procedures and what ASPCA Pet Insuarance allows is about 60-70% of what is actually reasonable and customary in my area. I have submitted several claims and, after deducting everything that is disallowed or not covered, I usually get less than 50% back. I'm sure they're fine for basic injuries but while I was trying to diagnose a complex problem I had way to much out of pocket expenses to justify the high annual premiums.

Good Setrvice

I am glad to have PetsHealth for our dog Sassie, it helps out on the cost of keeping her healthy. I always tell my friends how much it helps in getting some money back on the cost of care

It's been great for us and I always recommend it!

We've had to file claims about once a year for various pet mishaps and have always had great reimbursement. It's been huge relief in these ecomonic times. Dog life happens but it hasn't put us in the poor house!

Invest in your Pets

I never want to have to choose between treatment and euthanasia due to cost. I recommend insurance to anyone that loves their pets. My dog has had problems and I have not had to wonder how I was going to manage. The insurance reimburses the majority of costs and does so in a timely manner. I have recovered more than the cost of the insurance. I will never let my pets go uninsured.

great pet health insurance coverage!

My cat got stung by a bee to his upper lip and had severe facial swelling. Pet was taken to local veterinary hospital after hours. Pet was treated accordingly and picked up early the following morning. Facial swelling was reduced significantly but not resolved completely. Pet was taken to his primary DVM and no further treatment was needed. Claim for accidental injury filled out and submitted. Partial reimbursement received within 2 weeks and I was somewhat content with amount of reimbursement but did not feel I received 80% of total costs.
