Saved our cat's life and improved ours!

We've had the pet insurance for a few years, but finally had an incident where we REALLY needed it. My cat had a serious illness and had to be rushed to the emergency vet and kept overnight for several days--and have surgery. Two hours after we had to drop him at the ER, my husband sprained his ankle and was out of work without pay for 4 weeks. Luckily we had the ability to front my cat's medical expenses, but even more importantly we didn't hesitate to take on all of the mounting costs for my cat because we knew we'd have 80% reimbursement (at least until our maximum amount per illness at our level). Without that knowledge, it might have been a heart wrenching decision to make simply because of a lack of finances. The reimbursement literally saved my cat's life and helped us pay our mortgage the next month. Correspondence with the claims department was fast and easy.

It is a comfort for me.

I have no complaints. I have Level 2 and it seems to suffice. One of our cats developed a brain tumor. Specialist suggested an MRI ($2000.00) and brain surgery($ ??). I love my pets, but I would never put an animal through something like that. Our regular vet agreed with us and we had to let Jake go. ASPCA paid for most of the basic treatment and the end of life. I guess the decision is personal, but Level 2 is very good.

Satisfied with the plan.

Only issue I had was that it seemed to take longer than I expected after submission of the claim to reimburse me for services. Other than that, I have been satisfied with the services provided.

So far,so good

I have 2 dogs and got ASPCA Pet Insurance when they were pups, so far they have been basically healthy. ASPCA has paid for 80% of their little illnesses after the deductible of $100, which doesn't come close to the annual fee, however as they get older, sadly that will probably change.

Thanks for Jessie

Jessie had a small lump removed and biopsied. The biopsy showed it was cancer. I had lost my job and was so scared I wouldnt be able to take care of the surgery. The insurance helped. I didnt get back as much as I hoped for, but any amount is better than none. My Jessie means more to me than anything!
