Insurance pays for itself

I have two wonderful active hound dogs. Daisy is a American Fox Hound and Hank is a Treeing Walker Coonhood. As you can imagine they spend allot of time running, sniffing and howling for critters. Common ailments are foxtails, allergies and sometimes stomach ailments. Whenever they have had a accident or illness the insurance has covered 80 percent of expenses. Having insurance pays off with your second visit. I would not have a pet without insurance and recommend it to all guardians who want to take good care of their furry friends.

First-class coverage for our Westie

The ASPA Insurance has been terrific and we recommend it to every pet owner we know. It's not only peace of mind for big emergencies, but the company gives great advice on health throughout the year.

Happy

Very pleased with the ease of using this policy! This was the first time I had to use it, and it was much easier than I thought it would be.

Happy with Petshealth Insurance

My cat, Rudy, has unfortunately had many different health issues throughout his 13 years. Vet bills in New Jersey are expensive and Petshealth has been great in processing and reimbursing those claims. While I prefer that Rudy stay healthy, I am glad I purchased insurance with Petshealth when I adopted Rudy as a kitten. I wish there wasn't a pre-existing clause (this is why I did not rate higher) but understand now that Petshealth has a plan with continuous coverage which was not available when Rudy qualified.

Monthly Cost

Rates start at: $10 (for accident only), $16 (Complete Coverage). Rates vary based on species, age, breed, and location.

Coverage

The pay-out amount is based on the actual vet bill, at a rate pre-selected by the customer: 90%, 80% or 70%

Payout Limits

Annual limits can be set by the customer, ranging from $2,500 to $20,000, including an unlimited option. No lifetime limits.

Deductible

$100, $250 or $500 annually.

Age Limits

No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

There are no waiting periods for preventive care. Coverage begins 14 days after date listed on policy for accidents, illnesses, and knee/ligament conditions.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions, cosmetic procedures and breeding costs are not covered. ASPCA Pet Health Insurance has two Preventive Care plans that can be added to help cover a pet’s wellness care, including annual exams, vaccinations, tests, dental cleanings and flea/heartworm preventive. Preventive Care plans reimburse up to a set amount for each listed treatment. If your pet exhibited symptoms of a knee and ligament condition at any time, prior to enrollment or during a waiting period, all ligament and knee conditions will be excluded. Ligament and Knee are conditions involving a ligament, patella, meniscus or soft tissue disorder of the knee. Accident-Only coverage available.
