STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! I also wish there were no stars as an option because I would never use the company again. I received the original information from them in the mail and thought, " It's the ASPCA, so they must have a great affiliation with them insurance company." I really trusted them and signed all four of my dogs up. After years of simple shots and check-ups the time came last month when my Irish Setter was throwing up and not eating. I took her to my vet and we had to take x-rays and blood tests. I started to send in claims for her and started to notice a pattern. The company uses what they call, "Usual and Customary costs for expenses incurred during the Policy Period." They only paid out about 50%, not 80% of the claims since they said my claims were much higher than others in my area. When I asked what that meant, they said they will only pay on what they think are "reasonable" charges". in other words, they get to decide how much your claim is first, THEN, they pay out 80% of that. This is a scam. When I asked how they figure out what is the "reasonable and customary" at first they told me it was based on an average for my area, then they backtracked when I said there was only one vet in my area. My regular vet wasn't able to figure out my dogs problem and recommended I take her to Southern Cal. Vet. Specialty Hosp. which is the only type of hospital of it's kind in Southern California. This was going to be my test to see if they would pay

A Life Saver

Both of my pugs have had problems over the years. The breed tends to have a lot of issues, but these guys are rescues with an unknown past up until I adopted/rescued them. Having pet insurance has made it easier to take care of their needs, which will only increase as they get older. The oldest pug has skin issues, as well as arthritis and stomach problems. The younger one has been pretty health in the past year, but accidents do happen. I can rest assured that if something goes wrong, I can submit my claims and get a good chunk of the money back.

Excellent service with ASPCA Insurance

I purchased ASPCA Insurance for my new Blk Lab Puppy in hope that I would never need. During running exercise he tore his ACL and was operated on in July. I submitted the claim for approximately $4,000.00 dollars and within teo weeks received a check for 3100.00 reimbursement. I can see enough about the customer service and their prompt payment of the claim. If you have a new puppy, get this insurance, I had zero issues with ASPCA, they are great!

Excellent

I submitted two claims and was reimbursed in less than a month. The process was easy as I simply faxed my invoices to them and they sent me a check.

Brooke can go back to doing her "therapy job" now.

Brooke is a therapy dog, part chow, part ??? She tore her cranial cruciate ligament in her right knee while playing. Surgery has corrected and problem with a lot of home TLC and much help from our insurance. This is a common accident with dogs and there is a limit on the amount of the insurance payment, but what a big help it was!!! We love our pets and do our best for them. We are so pleased with how our claims have been handled for Brooke, and also for her pup, by ASPCA Pet Insurance. Thank you!!!
