ASPCA | Pet Insurance Review

Hi , my dog Bear was ( Pomeranian / Chihuahua mix ) attacked by another dog and all I can say is that first of all he is completely healed , but I was so glad I had pet health insurance as the surgery he had to have was substantial and the cost was overwhelming .The person of the wishes dog left without saying were he lives or his name ,so we could not get that money back from them . I myself was injured and required emergency room help as he attacked me to . The amount we received from ASPCA was more than I though we would receive and that helped us tremendously . You just never know the future of all that can happen in a pets life .This attack was right in front of our house and felt save .In all the 12 years we have had the pleasure of owning this "Angel" never had this happened to us !! ASPCA was very prompt and courteous in their response to my claim. An agent followed up with me by phone to be sure I was satisfied.

My Golden Retriever, Clover, was quite ill and had to be in a Veterinary Hospital for a few days. Many test were done and the cost was quite substantial. The information was sent into ASPCA. I have Option 3 but did not think that it was going to cover much of the amount of money I had to pay. Well, I was very surprised and so very pleased with the coverage. Almost the total bill was covered. ASPCA also called to find out how she was doing.

My two year old Yorkie was sick and had bloody vomit and poop. We took him to the hospital where he stayed for a few days. It was great piece of mind knowing that when the vet asked if we wanted to have some of the more advanced analysis (i.e. x-rays from an external expert) that the cost wasn't weighing into my decision as much as it would have without insurance. My pooch had to stay there for two days and needed IV antibiotics, fluids, and other medications. Once we were able to take him home, he had three prescriptions as well. Overall, the bill was $1600 and over $900 of that was reimbursed. The claim was processed quickly and directly deposited into my account. Then I received a call from ASPCA asking how my dog was doing. You really can't ask for anything more in an insurance company.

I have been associated with ASPCA for almost 10 years. I now have 4 pets who are covered in case of an emergency and/or unexpected illness. Fortunately, I have not had to use the insurance much, but when I did, it was a great relief knowing that I would be able to re-coup some of the associated costs. In addition, the reps at ASPCA are Very helpful and patient with helping you decide which plan to try. For the peace of mind knowing my furry family is covered in case of an emergency~ ASPCA Ins. is well worth it.
