The ASPCA does not care about your dog.

Do not buy ASPCA pet insurance. My 5-year old dog had $5,000 ACL surgery after he started limping in May. Brought him to our vet, they said he may have arthritis, but to see a surgeon just in case. We took him 10 days later. They diagnosed him with a torn ACL. We got his surgery, then submitted a claim. The ASPCA decided not to pay for it (after paying $45/month for 5 years) because his "diagnosis" and surgery were in different "billing periods." Our dog saw the vet May 5, saw the surgeon May 15, and the billing period roll-over was May 10. Our vet, who we saw on May 5, didn't diagnose him -- the surgeon did, which technically means the diagnosis and surgery were in the same billing period, both after May 10. However, the ASPCA claims they count our vet seeing his "symptoms" as the official diagnosis. If this sounds ridiculous, it's because it is. The ASPCA will do whatever it can to not pay for your dog. They don't care about you. They don't care about animals. Do not buy their insurance.

Great Insurance Company

I've had this insurance since I rescued my dog in 2008. Every time I get a bill they always send me a reimbursement with 3 weeks. They're just a great company to work with!

I'm Glad I Have It!

Have been very pleased--I have 4 cats and have used it for all of them--it had paid for itself many times over and lets me have more peace of mind when seeking treatment for their various aliments. I just wish it didn't have caps for treatments.

10 years and still extremely satisfied

Its very comforting to know as my pet gets older that I only have to worry about the quality of care, not whether I can afford the care.

Pet owner

I use ASPCA for two dogs. Outstanding customer service. Extensive communication throughout the claims process, and they even follow up to see how your dog is. I have called customer service, experience short wait times and speak to pleasant people. While my claims are not covered as extensively as I might like, I am satisfied with the coverage and will continue to use ASPCA and recommend to my friends.Claim was processed within two weeks of submission. I suspect no-one is every completely satisfied with any insurance reimbursement. That was DOA in the 90's.
