ASPCA Insurance (Good decision)

I have 13 lb. four legged child named Leilani. She is a true love puppy. She serves as a therapy dog in old folks homes and mental institutions with Canines For Christ. She eats everything. Knowing that I decided to get pet insurance. She got very sick. We thought she ate something that made her sick. After a 1000.00 vet bill we found out that something in her food was making her sick. So the internist put her on special food and probiotics. Thank God ASPCA Insurance paid most of the bill or there might not have been a very good Christmas.

This coverage has been a lifesaver!

Our 5 year old lab mix has had joint problems since she was a puppy. This year, she had both knees done (TPLO surgery). It was around $2800 for each knee. We could not have managed it without this insurance. They paid over $2000 for each one. Now we have our rowdy puppy back.

Speedy Response Service

I have made few claims in the last few years and I was pleasantly surprised by the claim service. And over the past number of years the claims service has gotten better each year. It is very easy to file a claim and get a quick response. I have a cat that over the years has been in many fights and a few illnesses that have cost a lot of money. Without ASCPA, I would have suffered a little financially. I would definitely recommend this company.

Would not Be Without It!

I have insured several pets now - one was hit bay a truck on NYR's eve and the vet bills were huge - but all covered. There have been several illnesses or accidents since with other pets and it is such a relief to know they are insured and I don't need to worry about the bills, compared to what they'd be without insurance. The vet deserves every penny, but it helps us to have help paying, especially in an emergency or serious illness. I tell all my friends they should look into insuring their pets. It's a no-brainer.

Monthly Cost

Rates start at: $10 (for accident only), $16 (Complete Coverage). Rates vary based on species, age, breed, and location.

Coverage

The pay-out amount is based on the actual vet bill, at a rate pre-selected by the customer: 90%, 80% or 70%

Payout Limits

Annual limits can be set by the customer, ranging from $2,500 to $20,000, including an unlimited option. No lifetime limits.

Deductible

$100, $250 or $500 annually.

Age Limits

No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

There are no waiting periods for preventive care. Coverage begins 14 days after date listed on policy for accidents, illnesses, and knee/ligament conditions.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions, cosmetic procedures and breeding costs are not covered. ASPCA Pet Health Insurance has two Preventive Care plans that can be added to help cover a pet’s wellness care, including annual exams, vaccinations, tests, dental cleanings and flea/heartworm preventive. Preventive Care plans reimburse up to a set amount for each listed treatment. If your pet exhibited symptoms of a knee and ligament condition at any time, prior to enrollment or during a waiting period, all ligament and knee conditions will be excluded. Ligament and Knee are conditions involving a ligament, patella, meniscus or soft tissue disorder of the knee. Accident-Only coverage available.
