A very good program to have
After paying big bucks on operations for our previous dog, we decided to go with ASPCA Pet Insurance for our new dog. We paid the insurance for 6 years thinking that perhaps we had made the wrong choice. Then our much loved Shepherd got 'the bloat', a life threatening condition. ASPCA paid for nearly everything. She recovered fine. Then a year later, she torn the ligaments in her knee. The operation brought her back to normal again. This was followed by the removal of 3 cysts a year later. ASPCA paid for most of each incident. We realized that without the insurance, we would have been asking if this was the end for our dog.ASPCA always calls a couple weeks after the incident to find out if everything is okay - they seem like they really care about the outcome. They don't cover everything, but when you need them the most, they are there for you. It's definitely worth it!
