So glad to have insurance

I have had a lot of dogs and this is the first time that I purchased insurance. After eating something toxic her body started shutting down. The bill was a little over 600.00 and they covered all of it less the deductable. There was a little problem communicating between the company and the Dr. but they were diligent about working it out quickly. Great customer service.

ASPCA Will Treat You Like Family!!

Please do not listen to the negative reviews of this insurance company! I could not be any happier with their service! I purchased a plan at 9pm and the accident coverage was active at midnight... then the absolute worst happened and my newly adopted Italian Greyhound puppy broke his leg at 1am :-( The timing couldn't have been any better because I rushed him to the 24-hour emergency clinic and then had corrective surgery the following day. The bills totaled almost $2000, but ASPCA processed my claim in a little under 4 weeks and reimbursed me the full 80% after my $100 deductible. I am extremely thankful for their coverage and I honestly don't know how I could have afforded it without them. Thank you, thank you, thank you, ASPCA Pet Insurance!!!! :-) After my claim was completed they called to check up on my puppy and see how he was recovering. ASPCA truly cares about their customers and I cannot express how much that meant to me to receive that call. With ASPCA you really get the care you and your family deserve!!! :-)

Review of ASPCA

Good service. I have no complaint. However I would like them to provide clearer feedback when no check will be issued.

Well worth the monthly investment

Excellent company! I have two German Shepherd puppies, which can be rather costly for the general care of their health. The monthly installments have paid for themselves through the claims I have been reimbursed for.

ASPCA Pet Insurance is a great thing to have

They are quick on processing claims and they offer a wide variety of services to help your pets. My only complaint is the amount of money that it costs as your pet gets older. I wish that there were loyalty points or long term customer discounts.

Monthly Cost

Rates start at: $10 (for accident only), $16 (Complete Coverage). Rates vary based on species, age, breed, and location.

Coverage

The pay-out amount is based on the actual vet bill, at a rate pre-selected by the customer: 90%, 80% or 70%

Payout Limits

Annual limits can be set by the customer, ranging from $2,500 to $20,000, including an unlimited option. No lifetime limits.

Deductible

$100, $250 or $500 annually.

Age Limits

No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

There are no waiting periods for preventive care. Coverage begins 14 days after date listed on policy for accidents, illnesses, and knee/ligament conditions.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions, cosmetic procedures and breeding costs are not covered. ASPCA Pet Health Insurance has two Preventive Care plans that can be added to help cover a pet’s wellness care, including annual exams, vaccinations, tests, dental cleanings and flea/heartworm preventive. Preventive Care plans reimburse up to a set amount for each listed treatment. If your pet exhibited symptoms of a knee and ligament condition at any time, prior to enrollment or during a waiting period, all ligament and knee conditions will be excluded. Ligament and Knee are conditions involving a ligament, patella, meniscus or soft tissue disorder of the knee. Accident-Only coverage available.
