Every pet owner needs pet insurance.

With the cost of current pet care every pet owner needs pet insurance almost as much as their own health insurance. After 7 days in emergency care my dogs bill was over $5,000.00.ASPCA pet insurance covered a large majority of this bill. What a huge help !!!!!!!!!!!!

Definitely worth the money!

Spent $97 for the yearly coverage and got back $800 for the vet bill. Money well spent!

ASPCA Pet Insurance - long time customer

I've been an ASPCA customer for about 7 years, with coverage for my two female Rhodesian Ridgebacks. Unfortunately, both of them have had bouts with cancer and I've needed to use the policy frequently. The submission process is adequate and the reimbursements are as expected. I do share the concern that another reviewer stated about pre-existing conditions. If I've had my pets with continuous coverage for 7 years, nothing after the first year (or 3 months for that matter) should be considered pre-existing. The result of the pre-existing clause is if you discover an illness the day before your anniversary date and treatment begins the day after your anniversary date, the treatment is not covered. With the rise of canine cancer and the frequent Vet decision to 'monitor for growth', this can leave you uncovered. I recommend adding ASPCA to your comparison list when shopping insurance, but considering their pre-existing clause, there may be better plans out there.

GREAT HEALTH PLAN

SO FAR I AM SATISFIED WITH MY CHOICE OF HEALTH CARE PLANS FOR MY BABY DARLEY. THE RATE IS RESONIABLE BUT I FOUND THAT THE WAITING PERIOD FOR REINBURSMENT WAS A LITTLE LONG...CONSIDERING IT WAS A WELLNESS CLAIM. I WISH THE REINBURSMENTS WERE HIGHER, BUT I'M SURE THE PLAN MORE THAN PAYS FOR ITSELF

Couldn't do without it

If we didn't have this insurance my dog would probably not be around now. The cost of medical treatments for dogs is incredibly expensive. My buddy has had some problems which have been taken care of due to having this insurance. The best.

Preventive Care plans reimburse up to a set amount for each listed treatment.
