ASPCA really Cares

I have had various Insurance plans for my dogs over the last 20 years and none of them even compare to ASPCA's Pet Insurance program. They genuinely care about my dogs-and me. They also pay a decent percentage - something not true with other companies I used. Their monthly charges are reasonable as well. And they have compassion when the worst thing happens. They even said they would pay final expenses. I had already removed that from my claim and they said they would pay it. I was not up to filing that so let it go since they cancelled his insurance - even back dated the premium since I (had to) waited to call.

Misleading insurance

I am very unhappy with this insurance and would not recommend them at all. I spoke with a representative when I first purchased this insurance and it was never explained that they get to decide how much they are willing to pay for something and you get reimbursed from they decided something is worth. For example my dog injured her tail and we had to have it amputated. The vet charged me $137 for the amputation ASPCA decided the amputation was worth $120 so (after the deductible I was reimbursed 90% of $120. SO MISLEADING!!!!! My total vet bill was $704 I had a $100 deductible but I was only reimbursed $434. EVERY SINGLE ITEM on my bill was over the ASPCA allowable amount (so I lost money on ALL of it) The allowable amount on one of the prescriptions my dog had was $.54 where can I get a prescription for under a dollar!!! I would not recommend this company and I think they are very deceitful!!
