good insurance. premiums increase & slow claims

I appreciate the support from ASPCA and their coverage limits. However the claim process is quite delayed (~30 days) and I didn’t appreciate the level at which my premium increased in just a year (>30%/year).

I have had ASPCA Pet Health Insurance…

I have had ASPCA Pet Health Insurance for over 4 years and am really happy with the coverage. Sometimes it takes a while to receive reimbursement (over 30 days), but after working in the Property Casualty Insurance industry over 40 yrs, I understand that backlogs happen.

If you are looking for behavioral…

If you are looking for behavioral assistance and chose this insurance company based on their policy including behavioral issues- turn away. They’re okay for other issues. I am stuck with them now since they now have my dogs health history. I had just paid for 5000$ out of pocket for my dogs surgery so pet insurance was essential for me for all future needs. I was then given the run around about getting my dog behavioral training for his actual aggression/anxiety. I had a diagnosis and letter from the vet. It’s so bad that he has to be scheduled last for appointments and I was trying to nip it in the butt while he was still a puppy. I was told they can’t even pre approve any trainers. The trainer I use is aba qualified and sent all her certificates to the agency.
