The math isn’t mathing…
My teacup yorkie was surrendered to me in May with a pre-existing condition (broken bone) which already knew they can’t do anything about. Got this insurance in July specifically for wellness checks, shots, and dental cleanings. The extras I pay monthly are a plus.Took my teacup yorkie in Sept for a dental cleaning only. Went ahead and had his vet do a fecal test, got his Trio (flea, tick, and heartworm chew) along with some other things I knew that “were covered” with his plan that I chose with add-ons. Almost $900 paid up front. My plan’s Deductible is $100 and 90% reimbursement. Submitted the claim. In the EOB they put in there under “accident and illness” they tried to contact the vet to get info on him from sept 2023 to now. I didn’t have that info but he wasn’t sick nor was he there for an accident. I called the previous owners got the info and added that info to my claim…. I got way less than 90% of the almost $900 paid up front. Somebody make it make sense.
