Dissatisfied and they kept $ after cancellation dog insurance for my…

I purchased dog insurance for my service dog when I got him last April 2024. I also set up direct monthly payments to ASPCA to cover the premiums. As of last month, I received a letter stating that ASPCA canceled my coverage because I had not paid since August 2024. The fact of the matter is that payments set up from my personal account continued to be paid up until the cancellation letter came. I deleted that payment setup and I was furious. I have contacted ASPCA in writing and asked for reimbursement of that accumulated sum of premium payments from the cancellation date they stated and also requested all of my out of pocket and expenses I had to pay because the insurance didn’t cover these expenses sufficiently. What a racket. Vets these days offer much better payment options and those options are far and above much cheaper than ASPCA’s coverage and reimbursement. My suggestion is to stick with saving the animals, instead of pillaging from and with your inadequate and expensive pet insurance. It appears to me that ASPCA is about the bottom line rather than the safety and security of animals they claim to wholeheartedly support. This is my 2nd attempt at spreading the truth. I would have never thought ASPCA would go down this path of corporate corruption.

It is the worst pet insurance on the market, this is a review from November 2024, they will never reimburse you for the invoices, they are a scam company, even the banks are suggesting you cancel since their accounts are always at zero

Great insurance for when you need it the most

I've never had any issues with the claims I've submitted or with coverage. Claim processing times are very quick. Will keep being their client!

10/10 Would Recommend

I have had two policies and I will have more in the future. I've had nothing but good experiences, both with claim payment and interactions with representatives. Filing claims is easy, they get paid promptly, but that alone isn't what has sold me on having these policies now and in the future. The difference is that the people you interact with genuinely care. You can tell. When I lost my dog to cancer, I got an e-mail condolence (and they cancelled my auto pay for me), but I got a hand-written card from someone I had spoken to one time, months before, about some bank issue I had. So getting the next policy was a no-brainer, and I have shared this information with everyone who asks me. I work in vet med, and I have a background with insurance. I can tell who cares and who doesn't. Everyone I've interacted with has been amazing, and that is hard to find. So it's a quality product and they are quality people.
