Satisfied client of AKC Pet Healthcare Plan

AKC Pet Healthcare Plan has been a blessing to me as my 8 year old yorkie had to go through some extensive medical testing at the NCSU vet school and although, I had some out of pocket expense, it was so good to know that the $1500 limit was paid in a very timely manner after all my claim forms were turned in....He has had some pancreatits over the years and the insurance has been well worth the cost for us...I would highly recommend it to folks as they become new pet owners!

Their Coverage Max is Per Incident for Life

After paying their high rates for years for routine items covered without issue, I discovered that cancer is an incident and the coverage limits to do NOT renew yearly...thus whatever your max is, is the max for LIFE for that incident. That was a very nasty surprise.

Excellent Service

I must say the service I received from AKC is extraordinaire. After submitting the claim I was immediately contacted and informed where my claim was with this company. Within a few weeks the check arrived with a full explanation of benefits. I would encourage other pet owners to get your insurance with this company. Highly professional in all areas of the business. I use to feel the premiums were a bit high, but after Scorpio's surgery I see now this plan is worth having in that I was reimbursed with a full explanation of benefits. My hat goes off to all involved in this process.

Thanks to AKC PetPartners

I have had my dog insured with AKC PetPartners for a little over three years. She ruptured her CCL and had TPLO surgery. AKC PetPartners paid $2,531.36 of her $3,164.20 bill for surgery. My reinbursement check came about a month after her surgery, which I would consider in a timely fashion.

Good Coverage, but read the fine print

My black lab recently had to have knee surgery (TPLO). I just received my EOB and the paid 80% of all the surgery and hospital care as promised. My only complaint is on her recent renewal they changed their policy to only cover 1 TPLO surgery per the dog's life. Since most research shows dogs with one TPLO have a 50-60% chance of needing the same surgery on the other knee I now have to pay insurance and save up for a possible second surgery. The main reason I purchased insurance was to spread these types of costs over the years of the dog's life through policy payments and preventing the need for a seperate emergency fund or credit card.
