Was guided perfectly with my questions

I called and was guided perfectly with my questions. and then the Manager reached out to me and took care of us and new puppy perfectly. I wish I could remember the names it was back in June 2017.

Both techs helped me out greatly

I spoke with two different techs at two different times. Both helped me out greatly. I called around 0900 on 12/20. I told the first tech that I was worried about my dog losing insurance. She said its no problem as long as its notated in my account

Would love to see on line features- like being able to log into your account and check claim status, etc.....

Your billing notification is not good.

Your billing notification is not good. Nowhere in the renewal notification do you specify payment options. Nor do you provide an addressed envelope for paying by check. A web address for policy payment/info would help.

Monthly Cost

$5 – $90 depending on coverage options chosen.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 20% after your annual deductible. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Per incident limit of $1,500 – $8,000 and annual limits of $3,000 – $16,000 depending on your chosen plan.

Deductible

Choose from $100 – $1,000 annual deductible.

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll with no upper age limit. Coverage options available for senior pets.

Waiting Period

Coverage goes into effect one day after enrollment. There is a 5-day wait period for accident claims and 14-day wait period for illness claims. AKC Pet Insurance provides 30 days of accident and illness insurance coverage included with AKC registration for newly registered puppies.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Customizable plans allow you to add-on coverage for inherited and congenital conditions, exam fees and wellness care. Cancer coverage included in base accident and illness plan.
