How to Save Money at Cascade Pet Hospital
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

This pet hospital is amazing and affordable!! The staff clearly love animals and they are incredibly kind and professional. They talk you through everything and allow you to sit with your pet while they check on them, I was even offered a complimentary appointment just because they wanted to make sure my kitty was okay. The environment is calming and soft and it is a proper soothing atmosphere for healing and care! I can’t describe how relieved, happy, and grateful I am for this pet hospital and the staff!!! thank you!!

Very unhappy cat but very happy cat mama! It may take a few days for my baby ball of Sunshine to come out of his hiding place - he's pretty mad at me right now, lol! But, his teeth and gingivitis have been taken care of and are healing because of the super-nice and knowledgeable folks at Cascade Pet Hospital. And, for much more reasonable costs compared to some other area vets nearby. (Certainly not cheap but at least attainable for me - other places sounded like they would be charging to do MY teeth.) Cascade was the 3rd vet we saw this year, and they also easily diagnosed asthma in Sunny when previous vets didn't think the symptoms I described at first sounded like a very big deal. Plus, they found a cancerous tumor when they weren't even supposed to be looking for one on my friend's little Pomeranian dog. I came here on her recommendation, and I'm so glad I did. Everyone I have interacted with over the past 2 months has been very professional, thorough and so kind. They obviously love animals and it shows. Thank you, thank you, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart, Dr. Taylor and Staff! (Update: he came out and is hungry. Here's a pic. I'd say that's a good sign. Sunny says thanks for making the constant pain is his mouth go away soon. :)

I've been taking my animals to cascade Pet for years and will always recommend them. They have always explained any health concerns with my cats and dog very well. I've never felt pressured to pick more expensive options like other vets can. They make even my most fearful kitty comfortable and have been gentle and accepting to my lovey pitbull girl.

My fur family and I love Cascade Pet Hospital. The staff is always kind, respectful and attentive to my pets’ needs and my worries/concerns. We recently moved to the Seattle area and understood we needed to establish Vet care ASAP. Yes, there is a shortage of vets and vet staff, the pandemic did not help this situation. Given this, Cascade usually cannot accommodate same day visits. BUT they are more than happy to point you in the right direction and listen to concerns. Dr. Taylor is highly educated and gave us all the information needed to make the right choices for our pets. Our puppy needed to be spayed and Dr. Taylor gave great advice. Needless to say, my pup was spayed, and healed PERFECTLY. I had concerns when we brought her home and Cascade was able to double check my pup’s vitals to ease my concerns. Of course my dog perked up when we got to the office. She just wanted to go back to say thank you to the staff and get all the treats. The cat is always happy to receive attention from strangers. He recently received dental treatment from Dr Taylor. While he unfortunately needed a tooth pulled I was glad to have followed the advice given as I had noticed him having some chewing issues. He also healed perfectly and it back to stuffing his face (in moderation). Thank you Cascade Pet Hospital!

Dr. Zaragoza, vet techs and front desk are all super friendly. They welcomed my Blitzy with kind, gentle hands and voices and made her feel as comfortable as one scared 13-year old kitty going to the vet can be. Coming from one very OBSESSED kitty mom, who's life revolves around her job and her cat, I feel extremely fortunate to find a vet so close to home that does wonderful work for our fur babies. I'm sure we have all earned our fur babies have been our means of comfort during these crazy pandemic times. They need safe, kind and unconditional love and care too. Thank you Cascade! 😻 Blitzy and her mom
