How to Save Money at Animal Dermatology Clinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
They were able to help my dog with his allergies. Yes it cost money, but now he is living life mostly itch free. Recently he develop a tumor I was so concerned about. I wrote a letter and sent pictures and they were able to get him in sooner. Instead of taking my money and beating around the bush, this clinic gets to the source and to the point. Which is a win in my book. I get results here. They also scored a lot of points for getting me in sooner and for hearing my concern. I can't thank them enough and so pleased. I highly reccomend if your pet is suffering.

I usually make it a point to post positive reviews. But this negative review is in honor of my sweet Pit Bull who was failed by several humans, including ASAC, to hopefully prevent this from happening to your pet. I adopted a very sweet rescue pitbull with a bad skin condition. We we referred to ASAC as a series of different antibiotics from prior vets did not help, thus her condition was deemed more complex. She literally had open sores, blood and scabs all over. After ASAC assessed her, we were given more antibiotics, shampoo and a followup appointment 2 months later. After three weeks and a worsening condition, ASAC said they did not have any openings but gave me a new antibiotic and pain pill for her. After a few days, and prior weekly emails with photos to ASAC showing her progressively worsening condition asking for help, we were given a followup appointment the following week. I asked for stronger pain pills as she could barely walk at this point without whining in pain, which they did. The next day my poor girl could barely move. I made the hard choice to end her pain for good. A mobile vet came to my house and commented that she appeared to have an aggressive fungus or possibly cancer and noted her pain pill was not nearly strong enough to make a difference. I later left a VM to ASAC to say I needed to cancel my appointment because we had to put her down. They called the following business day to say they got the message and would update her record. No mention of condolences. Cold, ineffective and useless treatment toward my sweet girl. Will never go here again.

Highly recommend for all your animals that require care for allergies both environmental and food. I have a Yorkie with food allergies who suffered chronic eye and ear infections until coming here. We also had allergy testing for our Olde English Bulldogge after constant sores, lesions, ear infections and finally have him stable after allergy testing and his ongoing monthly injections. They specialize in medications a regular vet does not. Don't waste your money elsewhere when you can get the best care and comfort for your beloved pet at Animal Skin & Allergy.

Excellent! They diagnosed my dog’s condition right away, gave us exactly the etiology and after a week he is doing much better. We have been to other vets and spent tons of money trying to figure out what was wrong with him. One visit, reasonable cost. Highly recommend!!

Really friendly staff, who care a lot about out pets. Dr Duclos was amazing to my Old Dog Haven foster "Ebony". Got us seen asap, helping my Old girl get excellent care for her ears. And she's more comfortable dog now.
