How to Save Money at Kitty Klinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
We had a great experience at the Kitty Klinic. Everyone we spoke with was very kind and thorough. The DVM checked their teeth, told us their weight, and was very informative. It took about an hour total for exams and vaccines for each of our two cats, which was fine with us. We were able to run an errand since they are parking lot/window based. I’ve been to many vets and this is one of the good ones! I would also say their pricing is pretty average. Thank you for taking care of our kitties !

TLDR: Waste of time and money. Enjoy pics of my baby MJ ❤️ I really wish I could've had a great experience like these other reviews show. Unfortunately, it was just bad for me. Maybe they were busy, which I get, but the communication was terrible. I took my cat baby there and requested that they trim her claws, give her vaccines, and bring me a copy of what they did so I could submit it to pet insurance. They also didn't tell me in advance that I couldn't go inside or that they were busy (they didn't appear busy when I was there, but I don't know). 4 hours later, the vet calls me to pick up my cat. She sounded rude, didn't introduce herself, and told me my cat could lose a few pounds but didn't suggest what or how much I should be feeding her. She also said my cat was "fine." I get there. They took another 30 minutes to bring her out to me with no paperwork outlining what they did with her and no copies that I requested. I had to book it to an appointment, so I didn't request the paperwork again while I was there. When I got home, I realized they didn't trim her claws either because she made some painful biscuits on my thigh. So my takeway is this. They took 4 and a half hours to give her her vaccines and told me she was fat. Nice. Recently, yesterday, I called to ask when I could pick up my cat's paperwork. The girl I spoke to said, "we're in the middle of an appointment, so what's a good callback number for you?" So I guess they're answering the phone during your pets' appointment.

I love this place. Before we had three healthy cats, we had one who was nearing the end of her life. When the time came to place her to sleep they gave us so much understanding and space to be with her. Now with our 3 healthy young cats, we have been accommodated as much as possible as clients and I have never worked with a vet that has been so helpful and attentive to our concerns.

To my surprise, they welcome rats (as patients) at the Kitty Klinic. Prompt scheduling and low fees. Great experience! Shout out to Boulevard Animal Clinic for the referral.

I absolutely love everyone here. From the vet side of the house AND boarding side (komfort inn). I found out we were moving to Hawaii. And if you didn’t know, importing pets onto the island is a very stressful and meticulous process. Came to Kitty Klinic frazzled and overwhelmed. And they took care of me from a-Z. Getting into last minute appointments. Helping with paperwork. And just absolutely phenomenal customer service. I’ve been in Lacey for the past 3 years and have come to them routinely for boarding while I went out of town for work and whatnot. Truly impressed with them and would love to be around this area again. Thank you so much!!!!
