How to Save Money at Pet Care Clinic of Bellevue
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

My 10 year old cat, foxy, was attacked by raccoon in December of 2022. She was bit on the leg and scratched on the eye. At first, her eye was swelling shut and I was worried it was becoming infected. I took her to Bellevue Pet Clinic and they gave her antibiotic eye drops and instructed us to continue to treat her twice a day for a week. Her eye was beginning to open and things were looking up! Then a week later, foxy began to limp. That is when I noticed that she had a bite on her leg that had began to pus and bleed (it’s almost like it worsened overnight). No other clinic could take her on such short notice and I knew that she had to be seen ASAP due to her behavior (isolating herself, limited movement) and the fact that she would not stop licking her wound. I was shocked to see how fast everything started to go downhill. The day of her original visit, there was no visible wound so it must have gotten infected and swelled. I called Bellevue Value Pet Clinic immediately and they got me in the same day. They cleaned her wound and told me she would need surgery ASAP. They performed surgery on her leg the next morning. All the staff were very kind to me considering how scared I was for my baby. The prices were reasonable and DEFINITELY less expensive in contrast to other pet clinics. She had several visits after (bandage changes) and she was recovering so well! Foxy gets nervous and anxious when at the vet, but they treated her so well and the care for her by the staff was heartwarming! I love how the staff at this clinic genuinely love and care for their furry friends unlike other clinics who just see these animals as nothing more than a check. This was definitely the worst scare I’ve had regarding my cat and I am so so thankful for the vets and staff that helped her along the way. She is back to her cuddly and lovable self now and I have this clinic to thank! I will leave photos of foxy in her first couple days since she was hurt and a photo of her now! Again, thank you x1000 to the staff at Bellevue Vet Clinic!!

IF YOU CARE ABOUT HOW YOUR PET IS TREATED, DO NOT COME HERE. I'd like to open by saying, the support staff at this clinic is nothing short of professional (only reason this review has 2 stars and not 1) and very friendly. Dante at reception was a pleasure to work with in terms of scheduling, and the nurses- I forgot their names- were very kind and helpful. The vet on the other hand (Dr. Reddy) is another story altogether. He was extremely judgmental, rude, and very rough with my cat. I've never met a physician who was so seemingly unconcerned with their patient and more focused on upselling on random services. I was originally there for neutering, but was told my cat would need a dental extraction for his extra teeth, to which I agreed because I was told he was in pain and the 'extra' teeth were a problem. Turns out those baby teeth fell out on their own leading up to the surgery anyway (I was still charged for it!). I do not believe in sparing any expenses when it comes to the well-being of my cats, but I do not hold any regard for a physician that sees my care for my pet as an opportunity for his own gain, rather than an opportunity to actually do a good job taking care of said pet. I highly advise anyone thinking of coming here to steer clear unless this is your last resort. The doctor does not care about your pet's well-being and will upsell you as much as he can.

I'll keep this short: do not trust this vet with anything related to international travel documentation for your pet. I spent weeks going back and forth with them while they confidently assured me they knew what they were doing. They do not, despite having instructions from another reputable vet I usually visit (I needed a second vet to verify paperwork). They also make mistakes on paperwork (misspellings and my pet's birthdate) which would certainly hinder any travel plans with pets. They also refused to answer emails and phone calls and I only got answers by driving there.

I could not get any answers regarding serious questions in-between or after visits. My girl was diagnosed with kidney disease. I needed answers for her diet, not once did they help. The replies constantly said to ask the vet. The first visit with the diagnosis the vet said a renal diet. I requested to email me what should I get. The only time I was contacted was to hurry in for the last renal food at the clinic. Other than that every email with pictures of renal pet food asking if they are ok? All I received was "you need to ask the vet". 2nd appointment I was able to get more info and a follow-up report. Yet again, asking anything was met with the same "you need to ask the vet". This is serious yet I received ZERO assistance from them. Sent me home to work it out on my own. For a kidney disease? I'm still baffled.

Used to love this place until today. Three weeks ago we scheduled an appointment to euthanize our sick cat. They send multiple reminders but then, the morning of our appointment, they call to say that they have to close until Tuesday due to an “emergency” and suggest Blue Pearl, which we all know is expensive. Plus, when you know your pet is coming to the end, you have to work on mental prep. This is so insensitive and disappointing. My gut says the emergency is a 4-day weekend.
