How to Save Money at Partner Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

Excellent service. I was so upset bringing my cat Mia here. She had a jaw issue. I called ahead of time because I didn't want to commit to a drive if they were at capacity. They did an amazing job with Mia. Even when she decided to put her jaw back without the vet helping. They were professional and acted fast when I arrived. They all were ever compassionate, and even when I laughed when they told me, she popped her jaw back in disbelief. They listened to every word I said. I'd return for any emergencies I have with my animals.

Sadly our furbaby Momma was very sick & she had to spend 3 days with Partner Veterinary. They were the sweetest and most loving people to us & her. Sadly our baby had to be put down because she was too sick, but they were so compassionate, caring and sympathetic during that moment. I couldn't recommend them more if your dog or cat is injured. They work with so much love to heal the animals and do everything to get them back home.

The staff were excellent from the time we arrived with our sick pet. They kept us informed the entire time as they were working with critical animals which caused a wait for us. We ended up going up the road to another vet to avoid the wait. We were very impressed and would recommend.

Despite the circumstances, this has been the best possible experience at an ER Vet Hospital I could ever imagine. I called a bit frantic this morning and was cordially answered by Kat on the phone. She had the best phone etiquette, LOVELY personality and assured me my cat was appropriate to bring in for emergency care and told us to “head our way, we will put you on the board!” My cat was not super obviously critical at home at this time, but quickly turned that way about 4hrs after his stay. I knew something was wrong and the team there caught his condition as soon as he severely exacerbated the symptoms I was describing happening mildly at home. My cat took a turn for the worst at the best possible place. Kat, I hope you read the reviews girl. You are the face and personality we (everyone) see when we walk in. And you keep it going ALL DAY. You go girl!! All of the staff was amazing, however you stand out and set a great example of a compassionate woman who loves her job. We needed your energy today and you probably never realized it! You round on the waiting room, offer water, ask if people need anything. You connect with us and support us as stressed patient families…I can’t say enough amazing things about you other than I hope your manager reads this and you get some kind of bonus, recognition, etc. We were in the lobby for 9hrs today, in and out, and you made the entire experience 100000% better. The veterinarians and cardiology team: hands down just simply amazing. Also, a brilliant team of all WOMEN might I add. As an ER/Trauma/Cath EP lab RN, I was able to follow somewhat easily but all questions were thoroughly answered. The physicians here are very thorough, caring and explain amazingly without making you feel rushed. I had a mild barrier differentiating human VS feline and everyone was great with answering my questions and discussing interventions. Again, every single question of mine was answered, that is a huge thing for someone in my position of a critically ill cat. And questions answered in their entirety. I felt supported. That’s so important when your baby is “ICU status.” I wish I could name drop all of our Veterinarians, there were 3 as it was a long day. Our initial stayed hours after her shift due to multiple complicated cases (love her), Dr. Boyd was absolutely amazing as well (I only remember her name because of finally having a nap). The cardiologist was great as well as the Doctor we saw when we came back to ultimately say our good byes. She shared our sense of humor and personalities fantastically. All of the physicians working on 5.17.24 at this facility are 5 stars from me as well as ALL of the supportive staff. We unfortunately had to say good bye to our beloved Kendi around 10pm last night and if I ever have to euthanize another furbaby again, it will be here. The room they take you to with aromatherapy, sound therapy and a very private area are so essential for that intimate moment of allowing your loved one to pass with dignity. You are provided a call button for when you’re ready to part with your loved one (after taking the time you need while they’re still here—that is very strongly verbalized) and our Doc last night pushing the meds GIRL THANK YOU, was absolutely amazing and so personable. We tried to fight a war yesterday for a very, very tired boy and I was able to talk to the team multiple times as if they were a team in my own (human) ER to put things into perspective for me. What’s even better is you can go out the door right to the parking lot after you hand your baby off to a nurse after you’ve taken “all the time you need,” after euthanasia. They mean that genuinely and generously. No walking through the lobby with people gawking, nothing. We were able to have that closure without discomfort. Our Kendi Cat was able to pass with dignity without discomfort. We sing all your praises and appreciate everything. everyone and all the efforts and support put forth by your facility yesterday. All the love, Cody & Kylee

The staff are very nice and attentive. They took our cat back withing 5 minutes of getting there to check vitals. Once they made sure he was stable it did take a few hours to hear anything, but we expected this since it was 9pm on a Sunday. They let us wait in our car which was really appreciated.
