How to Save Money at PetVet Wellness Center
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
The young lady who checked me in was informative and friendly. I would put the vets name, but, she barely acknowledged me and did not tell me her name. The 2 techs assisting her were just like her. I believe it is learned as far as they were concerned. I tried to tell them just tell her shes a good girl and that will calm her down. They literally ignored me. I know they heard me. My dog weighs 6 pounds and did not have any adverse reactions to any of her vaccines or even getting spayed even. The vets always say hiw tough she is. When she was a puppy and i got her first shots last year they didn't do all the shots at once. I see now there must have been a reason. My dog is so lethargic and she seems afraid to go to sleep and she won't stop shaking. I am unhappy to say the least. I get its a low cost operation, but, this was a bad experience. I paid over $320 and I am extremely unhappy.

I'm very happy I came to PetVet Wellness Center. Dr. Frederick and her staff was so nice. They made sure my two Pomskies puppies were taken good care of and received all their shots. Dr. Frederick even took the time to show my 9-year-old son how she examined and gave the puppies their shots. That was so nice! I will definitely be bringing my puppies here for all their wellness shots and check-ups.

The techs and veterinarian took such great care of my Daisy, even when she lost some of her patience with being poked. I like going here for well visits and vaccines because it's typically quick and less traumatic for my spoiled indoor cat. I can wait in my car or walk around the store until it's our time to be seen.

My experience in the last three times that I have gone has not been as I expected. I begin by saying that they do not show empathy with dogs. The communication feels very superficial and they constantly insist on selling additional products and when we don't buy them they are somewhat annoyed. I understand that this is part of your job, but I repeat, your treatment is somewhat insensitive. A young woman who I can describe but not her name works in this place. She is rude at all times. When it's the pet's turn, she just looked at us and when she was going to examine the pet she told us rudely and without a please to go to the bench that is in the office. We go to this place because it is a great help to be able to keep our pets up to date because the prices are more reasonable than in other veterinarians, but this should not detract from the good treatment and good service. Disappointed! I hope you pay attention to these comments I would like to continue using the services. Thanks in advance!
