How to Save Money at Vital Vet Animal Hospital
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google

I took my dog Franky for an ear infection and they took amazing care of him. Also, they answered my questions and recommended products that I needed! The chery on top is the follow up text message! Amazing service and treatment! I will definitely bring my other dog, Asta, for his annual visits.

I just would like to thank this whole office for the care and compassion that they gave to my pup, Prince. After a trying weekend with no resolve (went to an ER and they were horrible)we decided to bring our pup here. From the moment we arrived to the office we felt welcomed, Ms. Leanne spoke to my husband prior to out arrival, giving us lots of information and options. Dr. Kimbrel, and the other supporting staff, Danielle and the tech (so sorry I forgot her name) were phenomenal to my ailing pup. Dr. Kimbrel was very thorough with giving us information and forthcoming with our options. Sad to report our pup Prince passed away today. My husband and I are thankful for the staff for their love and compassion. Will always recommend this office.

It took me 2 weeks to muster up the couage to write this review. The morning before Halloween, my dog was his normal, goofy self. Asked to go out, did his business, played fetch for a bit. By dinner time, he couldn't stand on his own. I checked for bites, anything, and nothing stood out. He was so bad, I didn't think he'd make it through the evening. He did. Halloween morning, he was worse. His normal vet couldn't see him for another week or better, and every emergency vet we knew of was at capacity. Except here. He had lymphoma, and we had to put him down on Halloween. I typed all of this because the level of compassion and care we were shown by everyone there, their willingness to see him asap, all of it. They were top notch. I hate that it took this to find out about this practice, but that's the silver lining. If you're looking for a place, give them a call. I promise you won't be disappointed. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

Took my cat here today and was extremely impressed by how well they treated her. They were very friendly, understanding and I didn't feel pressured to purchase anything. The vet was kind and compassionate and even gave me an estimate on what everything would cost before proceeding with anything. Everything was done with care even when my cat was getting upset and the appointment never felt rushed. All the questions I asked were answered with detail and with multiple ways to help my cat in the future. I highly recommend them and appreciate all they did to make me and my cat comfortable and informed about her health.

My dog slipped on the ice in our back yard and hurt his back paw. He also had two cracked toe nails (one was his dewclaw). I called Vital Vet and they were able to see me the same day. The clinic was extremely clean and the entire staff was very friendly and kind to my German Shepherd. Dr. Kimbrel took her time with me and my dog and explained everything that she wanted to do. My dog is feeling much better this morning. I am very happy I called Vital Vet and I highly recommend Dr. Kimbrel and her staff to any new clients.
