How to Save Money at Parkway Veterinary Clinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
Dr. Rhymes and his staff are all very good at what they do. My dog started coming here during Covid after a family member recommended them. I drive a distance because I want the best for my dog. Dr. Rhymes addressed my dogs issues and always communicated with me about the possibilities of my dog needing surgery. He was honest and I appreciate that. After a year of my dog having this issue on and off, we decided to move forward surgery because we knew that was the only option left. I couldn't have asked for a better outcome for my dog. The surgery center that was recommended was also top notch. The staff at Parkway has always made me and my dog feel welcome and comfortable, especially when you couldn't go in and accompany your dog during Covid. Overall, I can't say enough about how happy I am that I chose Parkway to care for my dog.

Our experience has been AMAZING! We have been with this practice for about 6 months and I can only say very positive things. We have 2 dogs, one very scared/unpredictable/aggressive and one old/blind/deaf. The patience, care, sympathy and love that Dr. Dustine Reppuhn and the staff have shown to our dogs is out of this world. We can't thank them enough for taking a chance on our pets and making a difference in their and our lives. They are all highly dedicated to this profession and have your best interest at heart.

Took my dog here for fleas. The vet🤡 with the toe shoes would not give me anything for fleas. Said. O they will die in 8 weeks and lectured me for bombing my house. Still have fleas. This vet has really went down hill. I have taken my dogs here since 2007. Finding a new vet. This is not the same vet as years ago. Also the people at the front have gotten rude several times for having to do their job. 0 stars 🌟 ZERO ! NO MORE OF THIS 🤡 SHOW! *Update- since my review* Parkway vet sent me a screenshot of my negative review and my pets records. No statement or a response to my review. They responded to my review here after i got the screenshot of my review and pet records. unprofessional business. They got mad at my review and mailed a screenshot of my review & record's? Very child like!

Highly satisfied with Parkway Veterinary Clinic! I had never been to them before, but I did today because my regular vet is closed Saturdays and this place was conveniently open. I had to go in because my sweet kitty was not feeling well :(. Everywhere else was closed or all booked up, and they were the last place I called and they genuinely felt concerned for my cat and said they would see him (it was last minute too) and they still took me in. This vet told us the pricing upfront so no surprises for us. They were quick and efficient and we can now rest easy our sweet kitty will get better with his antibiotics. I will definitely be back and recommending this place to friends and family!
