How to Save Money at Pet Shotz Inc.
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

This place nickle and dimes you. I took 2 cats in to get spayed. I asked them what do I need to bring I was told just bring the pet, payment method and current vaccination. So I brought what was asked of me. Then when they take my pets in to the back they requested an additional amount per pet for not bringing in my pet carrier and having to use their kennels. Then after the surgery they charge me another fee per pet because they were in heat. And as I sat in the waiting room waiting for my pet to be discharged I hear the receptionist tell almost every person. That it's and additional charge because their pet was in heat. Sounds a little suspicious to me but I had no choice but pay. No use in arguing. In all I paid about double than expected because of several EXTRA charges. The wait is ridiculously long for drop off and pickup. The customer service was average. I am told to return and get stitches removed in 10days..bet I have even more charges upon my return. I do not recommend this place unless it's last resort. And expect to spend lots of money and time here.

My mom took her cat in last week to get fixed. I went to pick the cat up for her and we literally waited. Two hours after we were told to go get her. Finally, the Veterinarian calls me to the back and tells me they had her under anesthesia for too long and now she wasn’t waking up. They sent her home like that with me and told me that they would write a referral in case we had to take her to the emergency room. So there we are out of pocket for a mistake that they made. Then they prescribed the wrong medication for her. A week later her incision got infected when we took her back in. They wanted to charge an extra $300 for a mistake they made. The manager that I spoke to a lady was very rude. Then they authorized payments on my card that I did not approve of. I am speaking with my lawyer and my bank to get these charges taken off. These people will poke your eyes out. They try to take as many pets in a day to maximize their schedule and do not care how they treat these animals. Do not waste your money here . Now since I am disputing charges they called and said they will not be serving our cat. But refuses to give me a refund! This place is being reported to BBB!!

We brought our 4 month pup King in for a regular vaccination 2 weeks ago and we were told he had parvo, fortunately with the amazing team here they immediately started treatment and sent us home with medication and he survived. I give a huge thank you to Dr Rodger’s, as he is an incredible vet and helped us with any questions we had and was completely honest and patient. And as you can see our Pup is very comfortable here.

This office has great staff and the vet is awesome. They have been able to help my cat where other vet offices dismissed my concerns and did nothing to help heal my cat. I am very grateful for their professionalism and compassion for the health of my cat. The office is very clean and tidy. I have never smelled anything bad only the cleaners used to keep the office as clean as possible.

Scam. Went there to get my 2 month mix puppy his shots, first of all they force you to get a pravo exam can’t even deny it, so what should be a $60> expense turns to $120. Waited five hours from 12:30-5:45pm for an exam and a couple of shots. And the best part about it it’s that you have to come back every 2 weeks, 3 times, for more shots that YOU have to pay for. Biggest scam ever, go somewhere else this place is a ripoff. Update, came back for a follow up appointment with the same dog. It went pretty fast this time, but they added a random check up fee without my knowledge, and I asked if I could refuse it, but they did it anyway even without my consent, making me have to pay an additional $25 for something I didn’t ask for. I cannot recommend a place less then this place, they will rinse you for your money.
