How to Save Money at Keller Animal Clinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

We brought our 3 dogs to Keller Animal Clinic this past week for their routine shots & check-ups, and have gone through an emergency with one of our dogs that was resolved positively. We LOVE the staff at Keller Animal Clinic! They are ALWAYS pleasant and helpful! We have seen 2 of the veterinarians over the past two years and have been thoroughly satisfied. Dr. Isheim and Dr. Walters are very competent and compassionate and take the time to explain issues and answer questions. All of the techs are fabulous and calm with the animals. The whole atmosphere in the clinic is that of people who actually love and respect animals. It’s awesome!!!

Super sweet techs and vet!! I took my two kitties here for their yearly check & vaccines and I am super happy with our experience. Even with an emergency happening in the back, techs kept us updated and still out within an hour. It is obvious the staff here loves animals by their handling of my two, very nervous kitties, in a new environment. Will definitely be back & recommending to others :)

Wonderful experience! We adopted our special little guy from HSNT on Sunday and they recommended Keller Animal Clinic for his check-up. All the years we lived in Keller, how did we miss them?? Cat, the technician greeted us warmly and was very gentle with our 3 month old Aussie. Dr. Savannah Isheim treated “Baby Boy Smith”,(now known as Walter “Sugar Bear” Smith) for his illness showing professionalism and genuine concern. He was very calm while being examined due to their calming nature! Great office, so thankful to have found them! Thank you all!!

This will be the only vet clinic I will take my pets to for as long as I'm in the area after my experience with them these last 2 days. On Monday (3/25/24) my elder pup had a seizure in front of me. I quickly rushed her to this clinic. It was the closest one to where I currently live and I had dealt with this clinic many years ago during the passing of my family pup. I rushed in calling for help and was IMMEDIATELY guided to the nearest room with no-hesitation help. My pup was taken to the back, evaluated, and I was quickly greeted with tissues and a helping hand as we went over what options were in store. At the end of the discussion (and for those wondering a very fair price for as hasty service that we received), we headed back home to a long and tumultuous night. The next morning my pup and I returned to the vet with the very obvious decision that it was time for her to rest. Payment was received beforehand, and that was when I was informed that due to financial situation, they will be aiding me on that end to a very nice degree (which led to more tears.) I was given as much time as I wanted/needed with her in these final moments as my best friend and I prepared our good byes. They let me hold her in my arms and assure her a safe and pain free passing. The crew then left me to my melancholy and assured me that I could take as much time as I needed before heading back home and that they will contact me when they have her back for me. I left with only praise and admiration to everyone there. Bless them and everything they did for me and my sweet pup, Merry.

Took my pup in for sudden digestive issues after urgent care visit. Great professional people from the receptionist to the nurses & the doctor! Amazing. Gentle with my pup. Dr.Walters & the nurse explained what procedures & how they were going to be preformed also by who & why. Before doing any examination they got down on the floor & allowed time for pup to decompress. Honestly felt welcome & truly caring staff!! I'll be taking my other 3 to them.
