How to Save Money at Veterinary Chiropractic and Rehabilitation Clinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

This place is amazing and I wish I could thank them a million times. Entire staff is warm, knowledgeable, and passionate. We felt at home from day one, and my dog has loved coming here each week for 6+mos. Prices are reasonable for the most part, docs & techs are thorough, and they provide lots of resources. My boxer has DM, and if it weren’t for their care his disease would’ve progressed much quicker. I’ve enjoyed the detailed session reports, skilled care, holistic medicines, and warm love. They have everything you need, and while being a smaller facility, they bond closely w your pet. Never was rushed. Cares about pet’s best outcome. Romeo will miss giving kisses & has gained extended family. Dr. Bradway is our main doctor, she’s super awesome! But so is everyone else truly, especially the administrative staff, any tech who has worked w him or shown love, and Dr. Michelsen who we worked w once. The people make this place great & Romeo is lucky to have them. Thank you for loving what you do. We love & appreciate you!

I cannot say enough good things about my experiences at VCRC. I usually dread vet visits (and so does my dog), but VCRC is completely different and we both absolutely love coming here and truly look forward to every visit. Everyone is so kind and treats my boy so so well. They genuinely love seeing him and I adore talking to them after every visit! My dog sleeps through his adjustments and always leaves so relaxed. Dr.M is so sweet to him and he absolutely trusts and loves her. She has such an amazing presence with the dogs! If you’re considering coming here, DO IT. Your dog will thank you!

When I first came here I was tremendously upset and worried that my dog would never walk again and would have to put her down. I didn’t know if I was making the situation worse by not rushing to get surgery asap but it’s rolling the dice doing surgery on a French bulldog and spine surgery at that, cost alone was 13K. After 2 sessions Coco was starting to move a little more and going potty on her own. Today was her 4 session she was going to be fitted for a wheelchair to help with the recovery process but she’s walking 🙌🙌 so a wheelchair is no longer necessary. Cried a little bit today during her aqua therapy just so happy and relieved to know my best friend is going to be ok and I have Veterinary Chiropractic and Rehabilitation Clinic to thank for that 🩷🩷🩷

I have an Italian greyhound who was operated on, and unfortunately the Doctor did more damage to her leg than what she initially had. I was told to give the Veterinary Chiropractic & Rehabilitation Clinic a try. I was willing to try anything to help her. I am so glad that I found Dr. Michelsen and her staff!!! I have watched how they handle each fur baby that comes in, and I can truly say, they have demonstrate love to each one of them. They all truly care for your fur babies well-being. My IG has gotten so much better, and I am looking forward to her success! I know they have Sadie Sue, best interest at heart, and she will walk normal again! I cannot say enough about how amazing they are!

Veterinary Chiropractic has been so wonderful to our family. The staff is friendly and always willing to work with us and get the best treatment for our dog Chance. Dr. Robinette is fantastic with our dog and he just loves her. She was able to pin point what was going on with our dog and he has gone from barely moving around to having his energy back and running around. Chance also loves his tech, Leslie. She is awesome! She cares about her patients and does her best every time to get them better! Leslie is a blessing to us and our family! Everyone here has been great to Chance and our family!
