How to Save Money at Beechcrest Animal Clinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

This place was so awesome on taking care of my fur baby. The staff was super friendly when I called in with my pug emergency. They were so accommodating and understanding. They were able to see us on the same day! The visit and meds were affordable, which was a plus. I'm definitely recommending friends and family here.

Glad I came here! First visit on 12/14/22. Dr. Waqar Hassan and his staff were very welcoming. The office is super clean. My dachshund had a little sore on his leg which needed an anti-biotic/anti-itch ointment. They suggested two injections for the same, but I declined those and I was impressed that they did NOT try to upsell me on them. Good care, fair prices, honesty. I will visit again if needed!

Nice clinic and the staffs are always attentive. But the price tho. I know it's a vet so i shouldn't expect much since vet is always costly but man, I have spent a lot of money on my dog to this clinic... :( I wanna bring my new pup here but too bad they dont have the puppy package. That's why i took down 1 star

My 15 year old cat started peeing outside her litter box and I called 4 vets who couldn't see her until a week later. Beechcrest Animal Clinic was the only one who could see me the next day. They brought us to a room right away. Did a thorough check, blood tests and gave her an antibiotic for UTI. Turns out my poor kitty has renal failure but Dr Hassan called me after the lab results and took his time explaining the next steps They were nice enough to have me come in to teach me how to do IV fluids underneath her skin, which I was really grateful for. Prices are reasonable and they don't try to upsell you. Overall, happy with the service and found my go to vet, finally.

I am not one to write reviews but something like this is worth all the praise! If I could give 10 stars I would. I have been coming here for quite sometime we have a 4 year old Rottweiler mix and when My family and I decided to get a new puppy who was registered for her first set of shots at another Vet. I planned for our new pup to finish off her set of parvo shots at that Vet before bringing her over here to Beechcrest, well throughout that time frame our puppy contacted the parvo virus after she had her 3 parvo shots. THIS VET SAVED MY DOGS LIFE PERIOD. Although they were not responsible for providing the vaccine to our puppy they took full responsibility in doing everything they can to save our pup. Everyday for a week we would visit them to receive fluids and medication twice a day one time in the morning and at night before they close this was routine for a week. Every single staff member Jan, Elise, Vivian and of course Doctor Hassan kept asking and praying for our puppy to pull through, each staff member took immense care and detail on providing the best service possible to our puppy. My family and I are forever grateful to this place they have become our family we wish them nothing but the best and will forever recommend and continue to provide our family with service.
