How to Save Money at Animal Medical Clinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

We love this vet. Animal Medical clinic is absolutely the best. We've been going here for years and my 2 yr old goldendoodle loves the girls here so much, he actually gets excited to go to the vet! The groomer may take a while to get an appointment but it's 100% worth it. My doodle is hyper and he is scared to go back to Pet Smart for grooming and the other place just said he was incompatible with their grooming service. So needless to say they are hands down the best! He got a little matted because my husband passed and he helped me out tremendously with him, but they've accommodated me accordingly, helped us with his tummy issues because of grieving... so they had to shave him pretty short because of the matts but they still made him look beautiful! Thank you guys for all you do! Especially Ashley and Amber... you guys are always there when I call.

I took my dog because he got something in his paw and I didn’t know what it was so I took him to this vet who I thought was an “expert” in his field and could help me. I was so disappointed when he came and took not time to even clean and see my dogs paw but left rather quickly and they told me to meet them at the counter to charge me $60, I asked why? They said for the vet’s time, I said ok so tell me what my dog has in his paw, he just wrote in his report his paw is swollen, I said I already know that and even my 5 year old niece can say that. They told me you have to pay!!! I said but tell me what’s wrong with my dog, they said if you want to know will cost you $550. I was completely disappointed as I was a loyal customer and now moving to somewhere else that can be real expert. Ohh and I told them I want to talk to the vet, they said no! He is not coming because he is the owner!!!! Ohh God has mercy on them. How easily are cheating customers. I wish they could refund my $60 back and give to my niece! The reason why we didn’t accept the medication was because we were already putting the exact same one on our dog. We have been cleaning his wound, and have save thousands of dollars in the process. There wasn’t a need for surgery as you “veterinarians” have said. I added a picture of what his foot looked like that day. One last comment: I suggest you all go back to school to learn how to properly treat animals, as well as get some basics from janitors on how to keep a pristine animal clinic facility! (The premises are 🗑️)

I brought my bunny in to be neutered and the staff was very nice and welcoming. The atmosphere and how they greeted me and him put my nerves at ease as he was my first rabbit. I will be coming back to get my other two bunnies fixed.:) also to mention his recovery was a breeze no issues with pain or stitches in his area. I was provided with an e-collar in case chewing happened (lucky he didn’t care about it)

Took my senior cat here Friday for an emergency visit. They were very nice with her, and very thorough. They made sure to explain all of the options available to us. We left with our prescriptions, and headed home. I appreciated the follow up call on Monday. They seem to genuinely care about the animals they see. Would reccomend this vet in the area.
