How to Save Money at Airport Pet Emergency Clinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

I had to say goodbye to my baby girl Mittens, whose quality of life deteriorated so quickly in the span of an hour. I brought her to this clinic with the hope they could just help her, regardless that I didn’t have a ton of money, I couldn’t watch my baby girl suffer. The staff was so caring and supportive, they kept my sweet girl so comfortable and she no longer had to experience the pain she was once in after we arrived. They helped me so well with the pricing, something I could afford. They made parting ways forever with my baby so good, especially since it was my first time ever having experienced the loss of a childhood pet. I hope god blesses all of the workers that night, the ones who especially made parting ways so much easier for me. Their services will never be forgotten, and if I ever need a vet again, they will be the first place I go. I recommend this emergency clinic for everyone who has a pet that you don’t want to watch suffer, even if you don’t have a lot of money.

Excellent customer service across the board. I had to go get my dogs incision from being spayed closed after it reopened. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They offered multiple options with the pricing listed and allowed me time to think before making a decision. Couldn’t have asked for better.

We had to say goodbye to our son with hair-pants just a few days ago. He was 105 / 15, and sweet to the end. They were so empathetic and kind!

So, the wait was insane BUT considering it's an after hour emergency clinic I don't think that can be helped. They did triage and make sure my baby was ok to wait while they saw more critical pets first. It was Packed when we got there around 11:30pm and we waited our turn. Yes it sucks to sit in your car with your baby needing to be seen but you are still getting treatment opposed to nothing so I'm thankful they are there. We were not critical so we did wait about 6 hours. They did have a board inside letting you know that the wait might be between 4-6 hours so you have to be understanding and considerate about what other people and pets might be suffering through. Once we were seen they were wonderful! Caring and attentive. If you absolutely need emergency treatment I highly recommend them. Just don't expect to go and be seen immediately and get out. They treat the pets just like a human ER and will see ones in the most need first, which I'm sure all of you would appreciate if your pet was in serious pain. I wish there were more places like this for emergency pet care but until then appreciate they are there, even if you have to wait hours, it's better than waiting days to see your regular vet or no treatment at all. Thank you Airport Pet Emergency for your care and hard work!!

The vet was fine for the most part but the front desk staff is incredibly rude. I went here twice and both times were not impressed by the front desk staff, they all seem rude, annoyed they have to be there, and have terrible customer service skills. The vet I saw was fine and the nurses were nice. I think the price is also outrageous and the wait time. Took my animal to Foundation Animal Hospital in Jonesborro and everything was much better, including the price. My cat spent three days at foundation and it was almost the price as what one visit here was.
