How to Save Money at Creature Comforts Veterinary Hospital
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
I was new in town looking for a vet clinic for my two cats. Spears Creek Veterinarian wasn’t accepting new clients but recommended Creature Comforts. I had an appointment with in the first week of them opening, and Dr. Stanley was kind enough to talk to me about my cats and concerns before they even opened! Their facility is clean and they even have a cat-only room so it doesn’t smell like dogs and upset the animals. They also give you tablet so when they take your pet to the back you can see what they are doing. Talk about major peace of mind! I’ve never experienced that before but it is my favorite addition to the visit. They also break down the pricing for you before they start care so you know what you are paying outright, and they give you the opportunity to not select all the things they recommend (I did it all, totally worth less trips to the vet!) Finally, my absolute favorite part was the Calm and Cozy Cat Wrap they used on my boys. They both get terrified at the vet,l and try to run, and this wrap kept them bound and secure so the vet techs didn’t get scratched and my boys felt more secure. I’ve had veterinarians in the past that wanted me to sedate my cats before trips to the clinic, but this technique is way better than having to drug my pets each time. Dr. Stanley and her team are so kind and patient with my boys, and they are just as good with people as it is with pets when it comes to easing the distress of the trip to the vet.

This vet clinic is wonderful! They were able to get me a same day appointment when my cat was showing signs of pain all of a sudden. The staff is very compassionate and knowledgeable. They went above and beyond for my cat and even addressed concerns outside of the primary reason for the visit which I appreciated. Another plus is they are more affordable compared to other vet clinics. I definitely recommend them!

I cannot say enough good things about this office! We actually found a dog with no tags or chip who was having some stomach issues. After a couple of days of trying to locate his people it became clear he needed a vet. Our regular vet couldn't get him in because he wasn't a established patient after calling several others with no luck Spears Creek Veterinary recommended Creature Comforts and I am so glad they did. They were able to get our guy in immediately and went over all pricing up front. Dr. Stanley gave him a really good look over as I had concerns for his paws and weight as well. She offered plenty of advice on what he should be eating and he left the office with all the medicine he needed that was very reasonably priced. The next day Dr. Stanley personally called with the results of his tests and to check on him. I'm happy to report he is on the mend and even gaining weight.

I can honestly say this is the best clinic I have ever visited from the staff all the way up to Doctor Stanley they have a dedicated room for my cats with very accommodating features. The resident cat there is name creature and he is pretty cool. I received timely updates and while there you can watch your pet on a tablet to stay informed if you are looking for a top notch vet with quick appointments look no further and give them a chance you won’t be disappointed.
