How to Save Money at Love City Vet
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
I have to say I cannot review this vet because I didn't see the vet, I stopped in to check this place out. My initial vibe of this entire place is very positive! The place is immaculate. There is not a piece of dirt anywhere or dust. The people that work there are very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and professional. There is a whole bunch of stuff to check out or buy and all of their stuff comes from local businesses. . The mid-century modern design looks nice and the color palette is really calming and pleasant to experience. My favorite part is the art "mural wall" in my photos posted. There are endless pet owner resources at your fingertips, it's hygienic and eco-conscious. There is a nice sized bathroom located in the waiting area. I did not visit the back area where all the exam rooms are located, as for I didn't have my pets with me nor an appointment. I had questions about costs and the front desk person actually offered to email them to me and they were already in my inbox box by the time I got home. I have to say that I'll be back and definitely worth checking out. When I was there on a Thursday afternoon there was not a lot of traffic, which is nice when going to a vet appointment, and if anyone is looking for a new place to bring their pet to see the vet, I think it's definitely worth a shot!

We LOVE Love City! We are so happy that we found them through a chance encounter in a bowling alley. Dr. Lenahen and her team are so knowledgeable, professional, and take the time to listen to all my concerns about my fur babies. They always greet me and my pups by name and do everything they can to make our visit as comfortable and stress-free as possible. The prices are very reasonable as well, and their office is right off I-95, conveniently located in a shopping center with plenty of free parking! In sickness and in health, I trust Love City with my foster dogs and my own dogs as well. The picture is of my girl Ginger in her favorite exam room, the one with the comfy couch!

I went to Love City Vet based on a recommendation from a friend and I’m so glad I did because everyone who works here is so lovely. My cat Mochi had a blast being the center of attention (she’s a princess and she knows it). I also appreciate how transparent they are with the cost of each item on your bill. It’s nice to have that conversation up front. Now I can budget for my next appointment. And bonus: there’s parking!

Love City Vet was one of the best experiences my dog has had at a vet. She is very nervous in new places and especially with other dogs around. Love City made it very easy to get her in and out without too much stress. Our visit was very pleasant and informative. The vet checked every inch of her during the checkup and communicated very clearly with me. At other vets we’ve been to, the vet just kind of talks at you quickly and then leaves the room, but not here. It was a more relaxed environment and I could tell that the staff really cares. They treated my dog very well.

I'm fairly new to the city, about a year now and with a new puppy I had to look for a Vet clinic for my baby. My coworker introduced me to Love City Vet, she said she loved them and trusted them with her dog Jake's care. I decided to give them a shot and make an appointment for my dog Bernie. My puppy is a big boy, 12 weeks old 31 pounds Bernedoodle and I really wanted to make sure he had all his vaccines in order. The day of the appointment, we walked in and the nice receptionist said "this must be Bernie! I've never seen this cute face here before. " hahaha I thought that was super funny and sweet. The place is beautiful gives out a really nice energy, it's clean, colorful gives out a very welcoming feeling. The receptionist weighed Bernie and walked us in to our room. The door had a sign that said "Welcome Bernie" I thought that was super nice. The staff really do make you feel like you are their priority and not just another client. Doctor Killian Lenahen took her time with us I never felt rushed during our visit, she was super sweet with Bernie, made him feel super comfortable and even recommended some great treats I can use while I'm training him. I am very happy with LoveCity Vet and I can say I trust them with Bernies care, really great place and prices are reasonable. Thanks LoveCity Vet!
