How to Save Money at A&M Animal Clinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

Okay so I'm sure this guy is very good however I'm giving a one star based solely on the fact that I asked him for prices and he stated that he will discuss in person. I than asked how much it would cost for me to just go there and talk with him. He told me not to worry about that and to just bring the stray cat I had captured and he will discuss things with me. Now the whole purpose of me trying to get information on prices before wasting my time or his was to ensure that I would have the funds to do so. He could have simply told me all this over the phone. Instead I went there and got charged 45 bucks for something he could have just told me on the phone. He did drop it to 35 however I could have done without spending the money when he could have just told me over the phone. I even had a feeling that I shouldn't go I guess I should have followed my instincts and stayed home and keep the money I spent towards gas and a visit. As well as time. (Which mind you a friend told me after the fact that his website stated a free consultation)

Three stars aren’t as good as you think. I came to A&M animal clinic last Friday November 4 2022. My mother called A&M animal clinic and they told her to instead bring my cat in person just so he can see the cat. When we got there they sat us and gave us a clipboard for us to sign in for our visit after they took us in right away. He asked if my cat had his rabies shots and when I got him, the basics. He then proceeds to examine my cat. He told me my cat had ear mites and even let me have a look my self. He gave me ear drops with instructions and even explained it himself. He is a great doctor no doubt he definitely has experience plus I went to another veterinarian before him and they didn’t even tell me my cat had ear mites. Now that I spoke about the pros of the A&M animal clinic let’s talk about the cons. That same day I asked him if I can make an appointment to neuter my 6 month old cat and he told me that I would have to make an appointment right away cuz he’ll be leaving for three months. That’s fine . When we set up the appointment he told us to be here Thursday November 10 2022 at 6AM to get the surgery done. Another thing was we was having hard time understanding because the way the man spoke so we made sure he repeated the appointment 1or 2 more times he then proceeds to say 6AM Thursday November 10th. Also the front desk lady didn’t help much either because it was hard understanding her too. TODAY is Thursday November 10th currently 6:50AM my mother and I went to A&M at 5:50 AM only to see that the store was closed we called about five times, we stood till 6:30, we even went to the door and knocked to see if anyone would answer. NOTHING! I went online to see what time they open and it said 5 PM. I don’t know if there was miscommunication but I made sure that man said 5AM instead of PM. Honestly they seem like nice people but when it comes to professionalism they just don’t have it. It also says when it comes to surgeries it’s 5AM -8PM so I don’t see how that would be miscommunication. Definitely waste of my time !
