How to Save Money at Pets in Harmony Veterinary Hospital
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

We have been taking our dog here for almost a year and could not be happier! We just got him neutered and everything went well! The front desk staff is always so kind, the vet assistants are so caring and Dr. Brugos is such a sweet guy. 5 stars, 10/10 recommend!

I have been taking my German Shepherd to Pets in Harmony grooming for the past 4 years. Pat and her staff do a great job grooming and caring for my Lexi. They consistently run on schedule and absolutely show love to each and every dog they groom. From time to time I pop in just to say hello in between Lexi's groomings. They are always so friendly and welcoming! Because they're busy, I don't stay long...usually just a quick hello. I can't praise Pat and her staff enough as they are always attentive to the pets they're grooming; making sure the environment is safe especially as new pets come and go from their appointments. They know the personalities of each and every pet they care for. I've gone to other groomers over the years of having my pets, but Pat and her team are by far the best, and kindest groomers. My german shepherd loves going there and always comes home beautifully groomed! I'm so happy to have found them and highly recommend Pat and her team!

We cannot say enough good things about Pets in Harmony Veterinary Clinic and the Grooming Salon! Our pets are a bit (read very) anxious about leaving their house, and each time we have been to the Vet or Salon everyone is so kind and patient with our dog and cat- you can just tell they are all truly animal lovers. Mary Jo is always so kind and helpful when we call, and Sharon is absolutely wonderful with our dog Bernie when he needs groomed. She has trimmed his nails and groomed him, and this shy boy was very trusting of her each time. We did not think it would happen but Bernie actually enjoys going to get groomed or his nails trimmed now. Sharon even helped groom our cat, Dottie, when she had a few mats that required some professional attention. We switched to Pets in Harmony from another vet about a year ago now, and I can say that the our pets overall health as increased as a result of Dr Brugos’ guidance and care that they receive from the Veterinary Practice and Salon.

I'm going to pets in harmony clinic for a good while now and I have four cats all of whom have been seen by each of the doctors at the practice. I've been very pleased with the care I've received for my pets? Most recently my one cat had possibly encountered a sick raccoon but I wasn't sure they took all the precautions and were very careful and reassuring with her. The day after I took another very sick cat in and she was treated with compassion and care and the treatment they gave her had her back right as rain within a day and a half. What I also want to point out is not only are the doctors great but the staff is as well. Your friendly courteous helpful compassionate and I've been to many vets over the past 30 some years always having a pet in the house and this is truly the first event that I have been to where the staff was friendly and welcoming and pleasant to be around. I highly recommend this veterinary practice!
