How to Save Money at Blue Pearl Pet Hospital
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

I don’t know where to begin.. this place deserves more than 5 stars. I have never had a medical emergency for an animal before and this place made me feel so welcomed and heard. My cat Gus had to have a emergent procedure done. All the staff was amazing and treated Gus like one of their own. Go to this facility!! Thank you Dr. Russell and team for making my fur baby better. I hope to never have to go through another medical emergency with my kitties, but if I do I know exactly where I am going.

They were very attentive took good care of my Dog. He was very sick could not hold down any food. They gave him an entire bag of fluids, some anti-anxiety meds. and a shot of some nausea medication today he is doing great. He is back to eating normal and we’ve had no problems. The nurses and doctor were amazing super super nice and I was a basket of nerves but they calmed me as well as my dog. Definitely recommend this animal hospital to anyone, they are open 24 seven

Amazing compassionate staff. We had an emergency after regular vet hours with our kitten and almost at random chose blue pearl. I am so glad we did. Very clear communication throughout the entire process, and the expenses are explained right away. No surprises. My cat went in with a mysterioys high fever and miserable, she came home the next day healthy and happy!!! I was so relieved. RECOMMEND!

5-Stars (only bc 6 isn't an option) for Blue Pearl Pet Hospital in Conshohocken, PA! We had quite a scare with our Chihuahua-Terrier "Mugsy" in the middle of the night seeming to be in a good amount of pain and were back and forth about whether to wait until morning or not. Thankfully, Sarah (didn't get her last name) who answered the phone & worked at the front desk couldn't have been more compassionate, laying out different options, she made a handful of recommendations based on her experience, and she was calm and reassuring the whole time which made me feel confident that Blue Pearl Conshohocken was the right choice at 3:00 AM. Mugsy was evaluated by Dr. Kaitlynn Marshall within 10 mins of walking through the door. When Dr. Marshallsat with Mugsy and I to discuss her exam and diagnosis, she broke it down in terms that I could understand, she was incredibly honest/direct, and didn't try to run a bunch of costly & unnecessary tests to take advantage of the situation. In fact, to say she was incredibly patient & accommodating is an understatement. For example, I was concerned I wasn't going to be able to communicate everything accurately to my wife, or remember everything ... Dr Marshall says, "Give her a call, put it on speaker, & we can walk through everything with her too .. together. WOW. Not only did that mean the world to my wife & I, but it really showed just how much she truly cared, & wanted Mugsy's 'parents' to be as informed as possible with her diagnosis and treatment. In summary, these kind-hearted professionals are UNREAL. For a 3:00 AM Veterinary ER visit to ensure our dog was okay ... they sure left an impression on my wife and I that I refuse to even consider going anywhere else but Blue Pearl Pet Hospital in Conshohocken, PA. Sarah & Dr. Marshall were both incredibly professional, kind, and compassionate - which means the world during a stressful/vulnerable time in the middle of the night. Mugsy is on the road to recovery thanks to their excellent care! Sincerely - thank you Sarah & Dr. Kaitlynn Marshall!

I was so impressed by the care and concern shown for my pet from the moment I made my first call. The client care staff member opened and closed the conversation by saying how sorry she was we were dealing with cancer in our dog. Everyone is kind, friendly, and helpful. Dr. Jennifer Kim is very knowledgeable and offers the details and information we desire. Plus, when my dog was hospitalized last week with an infection on top of red devil chemo, she stayed in constant touch with our primary vet...while she was out of the office. That is above and beyond care, and we know it.
