How to Save Money at Community Pet Hospital
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
The staff here are compassionate, helpful and thorough. I’ve been bringing my pug here for a year and all the care she has had has been excellent and great value for the price. I also like that they are usually booking appointments within a week or less of calling which is nice as some vets are booked out much further. This will definitely be our household vet for any future pets as well!

I cannot give enough stars. This was honestly the best veterinary service and experience I have ever had. The whole process was exactly what you want and need. The staff we interacted with was genuinely friendly and very caring with our dog while making us feel comfortable and updated. Dr Lauren Nekota was absolutely phenomenal; literally an ideal Veterinarian in every way. She was friendly, professional, and very caring to our overly excited (and thus loudly breathing) senior pug. She is very knowledgeable and talks to her clients with the utmost respect while actively listening. She thoroughly talked with us about our dog's difficult diagnosis and laid out a wonderful flexible treatment and diagnostic plan that was practical, considerate, and mindful of both our needs as well as our dog's, in every aspect. They were upfront about costs; I appreciated being updated every step so we could discuss options instead of just having everything given to you at the end as most other veterinarians tend to do. I greatly appreciated how Dr. Nekota focused on our dog's health issues first and foremost and put routine treatments on hold until we have primary health sorted out. I was truthfully worried prior to this visit because we had bad experiences in the past in having a difficult time getting the care we desperately needed for the end of our previous dog's life. This visit was truly a blessing, I cannot put into words. Our old gal needs support in this last stage of her life, as do we, and Dr. Nekota and team is giving us that support in spades. 10/10. Couldnt ask for more. Thank you all for all you do!! p.s. cute pictures of our doggo from a few years ago, Minnie thanks you too!

Horrible vet clinic if you care about your animals just know this place DOES NOT. Extremely unethical and needs to go out of business My dog was diagnosed with a thyroid problem, thyroid problems are treatable but not curable. Years later when we take him in poof no more thyroid problem. We used alot of money for medication that he obviously never needed, whyd they do that? MONEY. They want money more than actual care. I took my elderly cat in 4 years ago, he's diagnosed with kidney problems, they say maybe a year left, 4 years later dudes running down the hall, meanwhile they cancel my nail appointment for him cause he hasn't had a well being exam in two years (ironic considering they did multiple nail trims before hand,, even more ironic that their well being exams are almost always way off, he's healthier than they say he is!! Money grab! Everything's worse than it is, cause they want your money DO NOT USE THIS VET CLINIC THEY WILL MISQUOTE YOU AND MISLEAD YOU ON PURPOSE FOR MONEY THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR ANIMALS)

I have had a hand full of vets over the past 12 years care for my Boston Terriers and some have been horrible experiences and a couple have been mediocre experiences that have left me feeling rushed and concerned about the care they had received. This is not the case at Community Pet Hospital. If I could give them 10 stars I would. The entire staff is nothing short of amazing. This will be my forever vet for both of my Boston Terriers needs. Highly recommend. And thank you to the team at Community Pet Hospital!!!
