How to Save Money at Hello Vet Pet Wellness Center
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

I'm so glad we started bringing our dogs here! The staff really care and work hard to make visits less stressful for our anxious dogs. They are great with clear and frequent communication. Both dogs had wellness exams and surgeries this summer, and I felt really comfortable taking them to Hello Vet.

We always recommend you to all of our local friends and family. You have been so good to us and marla. Most recently Aly went above and beyond to ensure that marla was being treated for the right thing and was able to ensure that she got the right diagnostic tests, same day. Marla adores her. Dr. Katie was amazing and kind as she walked me through Marla's diagnosis and treatment options. I am so thankful for her compassion and transparency. Dr. Jason has been caring for Mar from the beginning. We couldn't be more grateful for his time and knowledge. It is very evident that he cares for Marla and loves what he does. He has always gone above and beyond to make sure all of our questions are answered and that we have all the information. He makes us feel heard and we trust him immensely to guide us as we proceed with caring for our sweet girl. Everyone at Hello Vet is lovely and Marla loves all of you so much. We can't thank you enough. You always make us feel like we are heard, important, and that Marla is being cared for in the best possible way.

We just took our cat for euthanasia due to a cancer growth. They hadn't seen our pet before but were able to accommodate us. The entire process was very professional. They were kind, caring and let us take all the time that we need to complete the process. They took the time to examine our cat explain the procedure and the process of humane euthanasia. We were super impressed with the care that we received. Although we have another vet for our pets we are considering moving them to this vet in the future. They even included a small paw print impression to take home with us.

Everyone at Hello Vet is incredible, especially Dr. Jason. I had been going to them for awhile for my dog Bear's regular appointments and already loved them, but they totally blew me away with how they handled her becoming unexpectedly sick. Dr. Jason did absolutely everything in his power to figure out what was happening with her and was extremely communicative every step of the way. I never once felt like I was left hanging, and it really felt like she was his top priority. Once he had done everything within his capacity to help Bear, he had to refer us to a specialist and I appreciated his transparency and helpfulness through that transition - even the specialist he recommended was phenomenal. We heartbreakingly found out that Bear had developed an aggressive form of GI lymphoma and when I let them know they could deactivate our account with them due to her passing, the staff sent a wonderful card and and it really was just a beautiful gesture that I won't forget. Dr. Jason and his team showed graciousness and compassion from beginning to end for both of us. I've meant to leave a review for awhile, and with her on my mind so much lately, I wanted you all to know that I can't thank you enough for the love and care you give to these animals because it truly shows.
